I really like this product, because it pretty much cured my lip balm "addiction". I used to be addicted to lip balm (primarily carmex) to the point that I had to reapply every couple hours and I panicked if I couldn't find it. I had over 20 tubes of lip balm scattered throughout the house, car, purse, etc. I came to realize that it was actually drying out my lips because they always felt dry, cracked, or chapped if I didn't have it on. The more I used, the more I needed it. My husband had the same problem and his lips were always in TERRIBLE condition even though he used it about as often as I did.
I tried just about every single drugstore brand on the market and wasn't happy with any of them. Then, I went to beauty.com and purchased a couple more expensive brands based on the reviews. Although the other one (nuxe brand) didn't work, I'm really happy with this stuff. It's not waxy like most lip balms, so it actually absorbs into your lips. Plus, its somewhat shiney and looks like a gloss. Truthfully, it doesn't look or feel much different than vaseline, but it works. Best yet, it cured my hourly addiction to lip balm! I still apply Murad a couple times a day because it looks and feels good, but not because I need it.

I have been a dedicated Murad Soothing Skin and Lip Care user for years and years and years now. I am slightly obsessed with this product - it's my favorite lip balm ever. I have an allergy to lanolin, and I love that it's lanolin-free. However... they recently changed the packaging from the clear tube to the black tube and it's a complete rip-off! Not only are you getting less product (used to be 0.5oz, now it's 0.05oz), but they raised the price! The old clear tube used to last me a month. No joke, the new black tube only lasted me 4 days. What a total disappointment. I will never buy this product again.

Comments about Murad Soothing Skin, Lip and Cuticle Care, .05 oz:
I have Fibromyalgia and one of the "gifts" for me has been occasional "fever blisters" at the corners of my mouth. Sore, unsightly blisters.
Before I found this, I had tried virtually EVERYthing out there ... from balms to OTC lip treatments to prescription medications ... and not much helped. (And the OTC and RX treatments are FAR pricier!)
Originally, I really purchased this as just a new balm (if I'm a "Product Junkie," then I "mainline" lip balm ;). But at the first blister outbreak I started applying extra Murad Lip Therapy to my lips, with special attention to the corners, every night at bedtime. Within 2 to 3 days, the sores were GONE ... and it works every time they pop up! I've even suggested it to my physician to try with other patients.
Great stuff! Not greasy ... and still a terrific lip "balm."

Comments about Murad Soothing Skin, Lip and Cuticle Care, .05 oz:
I always keep something on my lips, so I thought I'd try this product. It does work well...kind of sticky, but that makes for staying power. I read the reviews about the smell and got it anyway, since everybody is different...but it does have a subtle funky-type smell. Not a pleasant smell--a little natural oil (like peppermint or orange or something) would be a great improvement to this. But I will put it on overnight and it has done a good job of staying on and keeping my lips hydrated.

Comments about Murad Soothing Skin, Lip and Cuticle Care, .05 oz:
I just started using this lip repair yesterday and already my lips are healing! It really is amazing that I have been having an issue with a crack on the side of my mouth and with the winter weather change recently, living in MN, there was no hope for this dry crack to heal...I had previously been treating using other lip care, chapsticks, etc....but nothing worked! Like I said, started using yesterday and I mean, liberally using it to make sure everything is covered and it's been a complete turn around. The biggest issue is through the night and I gobbed some on the crack and made sure my lips were lubed and woke up with soft lips. What is also great is that it was exfoliating and sluffing off the dead skin cells. Like others have said the smell isn't the greatest, but it's very subtle and it doesn't bother me, expecially with the benefits...kissable soft lips in winter!

Comments about Murad Soothing Skin, Lip and Cuticle Care, .05 oz:
Ever since I found this product, nothing else is good enough. It is the only thing that keeps my lips moist, and with the salicylic acid there are no flakes or dry lines with frequent use. It does have a depth to it that practically has the effect of a clear gloss by enhancing your natural lip color worn alone. The consistency will change the consistency of your lipstick if you wear them together. This works fine for me - now I just skip the gloss if I'm wearing lipstick. There is no fragrance or taste, the smell is similar to petroleum jelly, which you really can't smell at all except maybe when you are applying it. I love the consistency because it is not sticky at all (I hate sticky). If it seems greasy to you, or you want a matte look with lipstick, it can easily be tamed by applying lip pencil on top of it.
Have I gushed enough?

Does a nice job of moisturizing my chapped lips. I think it has a nice smell and it doesn't have a taste at all. I use this when I don't want to spend the $ on Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment. I only wish it had SPF.

Comments about Murad Soothing Skin, Lip and Cuticle Care, .05 oz:
This product has no added scent, but manages to smell a little funny anyway, kind of sweet. It is stickier and greasier feeling than I would like, but it is effective when used continuously throughout the day and night.
