I have very oily skin, so finding and using a moisturizer with SPF has been a real challenge. I've used this product daily for nearly a year and I've been very pleased. It only does an ok job absorbing excess oil (you'll still need to use an oil sheet or powder), but it doesn't add to the greasy feeling I've had with many SPF moisturizers. So after 10 years of looking for daily SPF protection, I've finally found one I can use without causing more break outs!

I have combination skin and normally have to use blotting tissues several times throughout the day to control oil. This product really lasts a long time and I see a noticeable improvement in the amount of oil on my face throughout the day. With it, I only have to use blotting tissues at the very end of my work day. So in that way, it's fantastic. And I love that it includes sunscreen, without feeling heavy or at all greasy like a lot of sunscreens and moisturizers do.
However, I have noticed that it makes me break out a tiny bit, which is a tiny bit too much since normally I don't break out at all. My skin is pretty sensitive though, so it might not clog everyone's pores in this way.

Comments about Murad Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15, 1.7 fl oz:
I really like this product. I have tried other oil control products in the past but this one works. I have an oily t-zone, but dry skin elsewhere. I apply to my forehead, nose and chin after I apply my daily moisturizer.
I will sometimes have to use a blotting sheet half way through the day (depending on the time of the month), but I can definitely tell the difference if I don't use it. And if I go out after work for dinner, I just reapply. I won't be shiny for 4 or 5 hours.
This worked really well in hot weather too. It didn't irritate my skin or make it break out. And I like the added SPF. No parabens was a big plus for me too.

Comments about Murad Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15, 1.7 fl oz:
This is the only moisturizer that doesn't make my face look greasy, and I've tried so many other moisturizers, mattifiers, and primers. I wouldn't say it's really hydrating so just make sure to drink a lot of water and use a good heavy night moisturizer at night if your skin can get dry like mine (I have combination skin). My makeup looks great over it and it lasts all day. Even after working out and sweating my face looks matte. Once after a tai kwon do competition one of my teammates said, "How do you still look so perfect after all that?!" Finally no shiny face! Try it if you are having trouble finding something mattifying like I was! It's a little pricy but surprisingly the small bottle lasts me a long time. Definitely worth it.

I tried a bunch of Murad products and this is the one item I kept. I can tell a difference in my T-zone when I forget to use it in the morning. When I do, I notice that by mid-day, I do get shiny. It's a temporary fix. It works somewhat, but not completely effective.

Comments about Murad Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15, 1.7 fl oz:
I have incredibly oily skin just about all over. So I searched for forever trying to find a product and Murad oil-control mattifier had generally good reviews. This product did absolutely nothing for me (all skin types are different so maybe it's just my skin) but it dried out my skin to were it was peeling, and my skin was just as oily as ever.

Comments about Murad Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15, 1.7 fl oz:
I cannot recommend this product enough! Living in the south, I frequently have problems in the summer with my makeup even staying on my face. Even with using a number of different primers, they seemed to have no effect. Murad works by basically stopping you from sweating so heavily on your face, thereby, making you look as fabulous as possible in 100F heat. Trust me, my area had 65 days last summer of 100+ temperatures. This stuff works!
As for breaking me out, I have not had any issues with this. I have suffered from adult cystic acne which I was treated for with Accutane some years ago. Unfortunately, I still break out every once and a while, so I use Proactiv in conjunction with this product. Not really a fan of the Murad acne treatment system as it uses Salicylic (sp?) acid vs. benzoyl peroxide. I find benzoyl products more effective in my situation.

Comments about Murad Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15, 1.7 fl oz:
My skin is EXCESSIVELY oily (in 1-2 hours of washing). Most mattifying products just mask the appearance of shine, but skin feels greasy underneath. This product actually counteracts the sebum as it is secreted, so your face feels clean and dry. After 6 hours, I can use a couple blotters, but it's a fraction of what I've normally blotted by 10:00 am. Products with SPF tend to feel too heavy right off, but I stopped using Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer for this. It works about as well as sulfur but without the bleaching.

Comments about Murad Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15, 1.7 fl oz:
Up until the last few years, I had very oily skin. Now that I'm over 30, it's kind of combination. Anyway, I think this stuff is great at reducing oily shine, especially in the t-zone area. It is also a great light moisturizer and sunscreen for those w/ oily and combination skin, and it's a terrific primer before you put other makeup on. It leaves my skin feeling velvety smooth. It is a little pricey, but it lasts a long time and it actually works. I really can't say enough great things!

Comments about Murad Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15, 1.7 fl oz:
I am not using this for acne. I am in my 50's and have a problem with oily, shiny skin especially in the summer time when it is hot out. This product has done the best at minimizing that problem without feeling that my face is being "smothered." It does not have a heavy feel like so many products and it certainly is not greasy feeling. Once the weather turns cool, I may use it just in my T-zone.
Well worth the price.

Comments about Murad Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15, 1.7 fl oz:
I have combination skin, majority EXTREMELY oily. Ten minutes after I would apply my make-up, my face would have an oily shine. Oil absorbing sheets and powders would only be a quick fix. The Murad mattifier controls the shine and provides moisture to the dry areas on my face throughout the day. It is truely worth the money.
