This is a very good primary to use *as a base* after applying an oil free moisturizer! It contains silicon based chemicals so it is very slick, and this is purposeful, as it preps and smooths the skin.
After applying I recommend using your favorite Mattifier to get the oil-free results. I recommend Dermalogica's Clearing Moisturizer.
Now your skin is all set to stay clear for hours, or, prepped for makeup. (I recommend using the Murad concealer and trying the Bare Minerals Tinted Mineral Veil for light coverage)
The Murad Hybrids primer is a fantastic base because it is easier to apply your next levels of products and you don't have to use as much of your other expensive products to achieve good coverage!

I have extremely oily, acne prone skin. All my pores seem to be clogged at all times no matter what I do, no matter if I wear makeup or not. I have been looking for something to control shine with the benefit of acne fighting ingredients and was excited to try this. I have used Murad products before with much improvement to my skin. This, however did absolutely positively nothing.
It has the coverage of a thick tinted moisturizer and it blended pretty well with my medium skin with neutral/ yellow undertones That is the only thing I liked aout it. It did not control shine as I was oily literally 30 minutes after application. It also did nothing to improve my acne or for control oil. It also did not make my foundation go on smoother or last longer, in fact I think it lasts longer without this stuff.
