This product is great. The tint is just a little boost for my fair skin but it blends really well. I'm a guy and don't necessarily want to look like I'm wearing anything and this does the trick. I wouldn't say this is a heavy duty mattifier though. It is a liquid that is light and silky and dries with a nice powder finish. I use it in the winter months because it is not too drying. For more heavy duty oil/t-zone control in the summer I like Dr. Brandt Pores no More Pore Refiner which is more like a paste. The problem with that one is it looks horrible when I get it on my stubble or in my hairline because it's so sludgy.

This is easy to apply and helps keep my make up looking fresh longer. I have tried other primers and this one didn't break out my skin and felt light. The real test for me was an attempt to help my make up not fade out during the day. I am ordering it again.

I thought the "matte" finish would help w/ oil (t-zone) breakthrough, but it didn't help at all. No better than just using a powder finish. Also, product does not state that it is tinted, and there is no choice of "tint"/color. I am returning product under the "100% color guarantee".

This is one of the best primers I have ever used. Most of them leave my oily skin too greasy even the water based ones. This one doesn't prevent total oil breakthrough, but it does last a lot longer than any other one I have tried. It also keeps your skin soft and smooth and doesn't irritate it. The color looks dark, but blends right in. You can use foundation over it, spot cover or just use it as it.
