I started getting acne a couple years ago in my mid-20s after never having any throughout my teen years. I almost always have 2 or 3 cystic pimples around my chin area. I have tried a lot of products - Proactiv, anti-bacterial face soap, non-comedogenic moisturizers and even Yaz birth control pills to make it go away. Murad was recommended to me by a friend with the same problem so I am giving it a try.

I have been using the system it for 2 weeks and I haven't gotten any new pimples at all (which is not usually the case). I have dry skin and was worried that the Murad moisturizer wouldn't be good enough, but it is. I don't need an additional moisturizer. My face looks and feels smooth and I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with dry skin and adult acne. Thanks!

Don't buy this! Ugh, so frustrating! Very drying, ruined my towels, and made my acne worse. The only pro is it smells good, but obviously a face that has acne and is dry, but smells good is not what I was looking for.

I'm using Murad Acne kit for 3 weeks now and I see great improvement, my skin is smooth, acne and whiteheads disapeared and my skin feels really moistureized.

I've always had perfectly clear skin, I've never struggled with acne until I turned 28. Then there was an aruption of acne around my hairline and cheeks. I tried many products: Dr. Weil by Origins, Clinique, Clean and Clear, Neutrogena and Phisoderm. None of them worked for me. I was reluctant to try Dr. Murad because I was afraid it would dry out my skin and be too harsh. But I am on day 5 of using the complex kit in conjunction with the clarifying toner, and am seeing drastic improvement in my skin texture and reduction of acne. After reading the other comments, I was afraid of the "purging period, where skin looks even worse before it gets better," I'm happy to say I did not experience this AT ALL. My results were immediate. I am so thankful to the Murad line for giving me my complexion back! Blackheads, whiteheads, angry erupting acne, all are drastically reduced and I can see will be GONE soon.

When I hit my late 20's I started to develop acne for the first time & just dealt with it unsucessfully through a variety of products. A few weeks ago, I developed a side effect to some medication that I was on giving me acne like I have never seen before! I decided to try this kit & within a few days, all of the really bad breakouts were gone & have not come back. It has been about 2 weeks of use & it has started to clear up the deep whiteheads I have never been able to get rid of, and has even evened out my skin tone. The only downside I had was my skin got dried out using the gel twice a day - I changed to once a day & the drieness stopped. I love this stuff!

Just like everyone says, I could tell a difference in my skin after just one use, but after a week, it was looking better than I can remember in years. I have oily skin with dryness on my cheeks and eyes. I tend to get blackheads and whiteheads and sometimes the deep, big pimples. I have had a few whiteheads since I started using it, but it said that was to be expected. Overall, my skin looks glowier and feels great.

I read a lot of mixed reviews about this product, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Like many others I have suffered with breakouts for years and have tried everything and every combination of products. This made my skin much worst. I know many products say your skin will get worst in the first 4-6 weeks and then begin to clear up. I stuck with the program for several months and my skin looked horrible. I went from having problem areas to my whole face being broken out.

My son had an occasional breakout and had been using Dan Kern's program for years with excellent results. He mentioned that his face was drying out so I got the big idea to switch him to Murad. He's been using it for two weeks and his entire face is covered in big red bumps. The people at Murad told me he is in the purging phase. Give me a break. I told him to stop using that, go back on Dan Kern's and I will get him a better moisturizer. I wouldn't recommend Murad at all. It just may have ruined my sons complexion and I hope he can get it under control again. Very unhappy with this product.

This kit does not cure my acne, as I still break out regularly--just not as bad as when I use no acne treatment. Still, I like the sulfur, triclosan, and salicylic acid, and the lotion is not overly moisturizing for my oily skin.
