Sulfur and Salicylic Acid give Acne Spot Treatment the power to deliver effective, on-the-spot acne control the moment you feel a blemish developing.

Convenient size makes it easy to provide extra attention to a stubborn blemish anytime, anywhere.

Additional features and ingredients:

  • Fast-acting formula clears acne breakouts on the spot
  • Sulfur acne medicine clears active breakouts and prevents new ones from forming
  • Zinc and Licorice Extract soothe and protect skin from irritation
  • AHAs and BHAs gently encourage cell turnover

Sometimes, no matter how well you take care of your skin, you feel a blemish coming on. When dead skin cells collect on your skin’s surface and combine with excess facial oil, it clogs your pores, forming bacteria. Fortunately, there’s an on-the-spot acne medication from Murad that works to eliminate your acne breakouts without irritating your skin. Murad Acne Spot Treatment features Sulfur and Salicylic Acid to destroy bacteria and reduce the size and appearance of acne. You don’t need harsh chemicals to dry up breakouts - just apply a touch of this acne skin care product directly on the affected area.

Indications:

For the management of acne.

Warnings:

For external use only.

I cannot use benzoyl peroxide due to my very sensitive skin, but this works just as well. It does have a slightly sulfur-y odor to it after it has been on the skin for a few minutes, but if I use it at night on a pimple, the red spot is diminished significantly in two days. It can be drying if used more than once a day. I tried other products due to Murad's higher price tag, but I've returned because nothing works so well on my hormone-induced adult acne. Best advice: put it on when you start to feel a spot forming under the skin. It won't emerge.

This was included in the Murad Kit I bought. Within my whole 4 week trial of Murad, this way the worst of the kit. It did nothing on any of my blemishes, even after three days. After a couple days of using this twice daily, my blemish was just as red as it was before. Plus, it was slightly irritating. It is also priced a little high compared to other spot treatments. Will not buy/use ever again! However, it didn't dry out my skin terribly like some other spot treatments, so I gave it two stars.

Comments about Murad Acne Spot Treatment, .5 oz:

In middle age I develped acne rosasea. What a nightmare! I tried everything, even a prescription from a dermatologist. Nothing worked! A friend told me to try Murad. I sent for the kit, which contains this spot treatment. A miracle! Within days my skin improved and, in about 2 weeks, my skin was clear. I continue to use the cleanser and the kit system. I never had skin issues as a teen, so now I can truly empathize. The kit is a little pricey but, if you get the results I did then it's worth every penny!
This spot treatment is great for those in between breakouts, and/or with the kit.

Comments about Murad Acne Spot Treatment, .5 oz:

        * Product did not work on acne cysts (larger, under the skin items)
        * Leaves darker than usual spot on where acne formed

I had one of those, painful, inflammatory acne-- so maybe no product could help it, as this one certainly didn't. My concern is that the acne spot left behind was darker than usual and I am attributing it to this product... My skin tone is on the tanned side of olive.

I have used this product before and was expecting more. It works, but not fast, and you have to keep reapplying it. Not a major wow, but for mild blemish control, I say give it a try. Not harsh at all. It does leave a residue once dry, but can be picked off.

I like Murad's acne products and for the most part, think they work pretty well. This one is dissapointing -- didn't see any difference. I still think the best on the spot acne medicine is Clean & Clear's Persagel.

This is the only thing I find that works overnight for new breakouts. By the next morning, the new breakout is noticeably smaller and less red. I LOVE this stuff!

I tried this product on my skin for only a few days and it literally burned the areas that had acne. They scabbed over and now I'm afraid I will have scars there forever. It didn't heal anything faster - it just irritated my skin terribly. I would not recommend buying this product at all.
