Comments about Miracle Skin Transformer SPF 20, Medium Tan, 1.7 fl oz:
This is a light-weight tinted sunscreen that looks amazing for a couple of hours. It's nearly impossible to detect on my skin (as long as I use the Medium-Tan shade), and it has a relatively matte finish. My problem with it is that I'm a bit too oily for this formulation, I guess, so it never sets completely on my skin, and I have to reapply it after a couple of hours to get the color and coverage back. Reapplication is par for the course with sunscreen, but with makeup I usually like to use something that lasts much longer on my skin. Setting this with clear finishing powder helps MST to last longer and not transfer, but it can dull some of the radiance MST gives to my skin. I've used this in Tan and Medium-Tan, and Medium-Tan is the best for me. Tan and Medium-Tan seem to have the same base shade (Mediterranean/Olive type), but Tan has strong pink/beige undertones, and Medium-Tan is warm-toned for gold-yellow undertones. I can see the Tan on my skin, but the Medium-Tan melts into my natural coloring and is just about invisible. I could easily claim to have nothing on my skin, except that the MST takes away all the flaws and mutes discoloration! MST does not layer well with other products, because it causes peeling and rolling. I have to be very, very careful if I apply bronzer or blush when wearing MST, because it makes powders coagulate rather than spread, so they look muddy or dirty. MST is fine with cream or liquid tints as long as its not too dry when they're applied. Otherwise it flakes easily and rubs off in huge spots. I have continually purchased the Medium-Tan over the last couple of years, because, while not perfect, this is the easiest, fastest, most natural-looking product of its kind that I've found. I can rub it on my face as I'm running out the door, and still look like I've got great skin.
