Developed and patented more than 100 years ago, our Mason Pearson Hair Brush is the ultimate grooming tool. Only the finest, premium-grade boar bristle, which is gentle to the hair and scalp, is used. Brushing with a Mason Pearson Hair Brush is the best way to distribute the natural oils while exfoliating the scalp and stimulating circulation to the hair follicles. The patented pneumatic cushion conforms to the contours of the scalp, which optimizes brushing with minimal effort.

All Mason Pearson Hair Brushes are hand made in England and carry a one year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. The animals are not harmed in the collection of the boar bristle. This "Sensitive Pure Boar Bristle" is specifically for brushing through children's hair ages 3-7.

Warnings:

Proper care is the key to preserving the integrity of the brush.

  • Never apply hair sprays and mousses directly to the pad.  This will accelerate its deterioration.
  • Do not direct a hot hair dryer directly onto the bristles.  Extended heat from a hair dryer can damage the brush.  The bristle can snap, the rubber and nylon can begin to melt and perish, and the plastic can bend out of shape.
  • Do not use the hairbrush on applications for which it was not designed.  e.g. it is not designed to be used on animals.
  • The brush should not be left continuously in strong sunlight.  The rubber perishes more quickly due to the ultraviolet light.  The sun's heat can also distort the handle.

Mason Pearson Bros Ltd.

Since the function of the brush is to clean soil from the hair the brush should be cleansed frequently.  A cleaning brush is included with all brushed (except pocket and child sizes) which is used to remove trapped hair and scales from the bristles.  There are two recommended cleaning methods.

Dry clean it frequently:  Dead hair and scales from the scalp can clog the pad and bristles of your hairbrush.  Draw the cleaning brush across the bristles from end to end.

When more thorough cleaning is needed, follow these simple steps:

  1. Wash it occasionally: Dip the Cleaning Brush only in a lather of lukewarm, soapy water using a mild soap.  Do not use detergents or ammonia.  Use the Cleaning Brush to brush the bristles of your hairbrush in the same way as for dry cleaning.  Hold the hairbrush so that it is sloping downward and no water can enter the little air hole at the end.  This should never be blocked, either while cleaning or when the brush is in use.
  2. Dip the Cleaning Brush in clean water and repeat brushing movement
  3. Shake hairbrush to remove moisture and leave to dry with hand up and pad pointing down.  Never dry bristles with a towel.  Never soak the brush or leave it on its back to dry.

Full cleaning instructions are included with each brush.  Failure to comply with these care instructions will render the manufacturer's warranty null and void.

Comments about Mason Pearson Boar Bristle Hairbrush, Pocket Size Child's Pink, 1 ea:

Love buying nice things for my daughter so didn't mind spending the money if it worked. Got this based on the reviews when she was 5. she has fine hair dried out from swimming a lot. The bristles were painful on her scalp and did not get the knots out. her ends are very dry and bleached from the pool. This brush would just bring the tangles down to the ends where it creates more knots. we ended up buying a $10 wet brush detangler that worked best. serves me right spending over $100 on a child's brush

Comments about Mason Pearson Boar Bristle Hairbrush, Pocket Size Child's Pink, 1 ea:

Bought this for my 3 year old daughter who wants long hair. Her hair is very fine and tangles easily. In the morning, her hair used to look like a bird's nest in back. Even with detangler her hair was very hard to manage until I bought this brush. Every morning and evening I brush her hair and this brush works out the tangles without causing her discomfort. No more screaming and crying! Her hair looks shinier and healthier and is much more manageable. She loves to brush her hair too with this brush.

I would give this more stars if I can.
I use it on my daughter's fine wavy hair.
Since I been using this brush, she dosen't complain of me brushing her hair, she actully loves having her hair brushed. It breaks through the knots beautifully, her hair looks shiny and bouncy once I brush it. I would never brush her hair with anything else. Simply love it!!!
