Ha! I found on another site that this pencil actually uses a sharpener. Now that may seem obvious at first glance at this product, but when you receive it it looks like it is houses in plastic, not wood or anything that could be sharpened. Mystery solved - this should be part of the product description.

I like this pencil set (midnight and purple) for the colors, and it goes on really nicely. Good value, too. It doesn't stay on ALL day but much longer than anything else I've tried. I have to work a little harder to remove it at night but if I don't tug (!!) I can do that easily.
What I'm completely mystified about is how to sharpen this pencil, and how to get more "pencil". My purple one can no longer make that thinner line and I've not tried the black in case I have to return them. Going to look at another site where Mally sells for some instruction!
Can't recommend unless I know I can get full use of the ENTIRE pencil!
