This is a great primer if you have oily or problem skin. Its totally not sticky or oily and doesn't leave your face shiny. Its lightweight and makes foundation application smoother and you don't need as much. I have naturally shiny oily skin. I'm always going to get oily thoughout the day, but this helps the shine to look more a bit more dewy than greasy. I've tried several of the smashbox primers which many people love, but it was greasy for me and made me so oily later in the day.

I was told not to use my Smashbox silicone primer with mineral based foundation. So I tried Lorac. I have to be careful not to use too much because then my skin feels too sticky. It's ok but I don't think I'll buy again.

I've tried many primers and this is by far the best. I discovered this product through a free sample and I was immediately hooked. It puts a thin layer of primer on your face so that make-up doesn't clog into pores or cause caking. My skin looks decent all day.

I consider myself a product junkie. I have tried so many primers. I have large pores and oily skin. I wash my face, apply Cetaphil moisturizer and then once the moisturizer sets I use one pump of this primer. It sinks into your skin immediately and doesnt feel heavy and oily like other primers that have silicone. I use the MAC 187 brush to lightly apply my cream foundation and with this primer a little foundation goes a long way! I have found that with other primers my pores get clogged and my face breaks out but with this primer I just have a flawless look all day long. Other primers with silicone also tend to give you that cakey dead look. I would definitely recommend to a friend. Some may say its a bit pricey but who wants to put cheap products on their face?

I went for a makeup trial for my wedding and the makeup only lasted a few hours. I could have reapplied, but wanted another solution. I bought this product hoping it would actually work (I was a little skeptical). But it did!! I used the same makeup artist for the day of the wedding, but I put the primer on before she did my makeup. I didn't have to make one touch up all day!! I was SO happy!

I like this product. It does not feel as heavy as other primers I have used and it creates a nice canvas for my foundation. It is lightweight and does not irritate my skin.

I first tried this product as a sample and loved it. I use mineral make-up and this is a perfect primer for that. I have to mention that I have also tried the Smashbox Photo Finish and I really do like the results I get with it too. They are completely different so if you are looking for something similar to the Smashbox, the Lorac is not it. However, the Lorac is a much more natural choice. It is free from silicone, parabens, and fragrances which was the clencher for me. I think that you will get a little more life from your make-up with the other products, but the Lorac makes a nice canvas for make-up application and that was really what I was looking for.

After I put on my Peter Thomas Roth acne gel, I mix three pumps of this primer with two pumps of Lorac's oil free neutralizer. Then I put the mixture on my face with a foundation brush. Then I put my foundation over that. Then, I lightly blot my sunscreen over the foundation. (This was advice from a Lorac makeup artist.)
This product really primes my face beautifully and gets it ready for the foundation. Also, when I use it in conjunction with the neutralizer, it significantly reduces the red tones in my face, and it makes my skin feel cool (I have very ruddy skin.) I've been using this product for almost three months and my skin looks smoother, healthier, and calmer. Also, it is less oily because the primer provides weightless moisture. Therefore, my skin doesn't have to make as much oil. Just make sure you don't put your sunscreen under the primer. If you do, your foundation will gum up. The sunscreen has to go on last.
