this is body MILK not lotion. It is thin in texture. It spills on your skin and seeps in immediately. I love it. L'occitane's lavender lotion used to be like that and I used it endlessly. then they thickened it and I never found anything simlar until now ! You don't feel like you have additional layer on your skin like with many lotions. In spring summer and autumn it is perfect !

I tried this in a friend's bathroom, and fell in love with it - it left my hands feeling so soft and smooth, yet not at all sticky or greasy. The smell is fine - wish it had a wonderful lemony scent or something, but this is a nice warm clean smell.
