I perspire soooo easily. I got a bad rash from the Secret Clinical strength and have used and wasted so0o0o much money on anti-perspirants that doesn't work as well as how they guarantee it or gives my underarms some strange discoloration from the contents of the product. I was quite skeptical with this and since no one has made a review of it, I thought about it a lot more. I finally stumbled onto a page that a woman saying this did was it said it would and she lived in the Caribbean, so hot and humid for sure. So I got this, another test in my deo testings, and it's o0o0o amazing! It doesn't say anti-perspiratant or antiperspirant at all, but for the first time in my entire life, a deodorant and antiperspirant that actually works! I think it's well worth every penny I spent on it, and not having to be awkward and embarrassed with stained/wet armpits. I just perspire A LOT in that area, no where else but there and this is a life saver! LOVE IT!!!!!! Oh and it smells fresh and clean too =)

This definitely does have Propylene Glycol. I read a previous review and became concerned about Propylene Glycol myself. The reason I use deodorant, not antiperspirant, is that I'm trying not to put harmful substances on my skin. For what it's worth, I looked up some info. on Propylene Glycol and found out the following:
According to Dow Chemicals: "Propylene Glycol is not acutely toxic (single dose, high exposure). It is essentially non-irritating to the skin and mildly irritating to the eyes. Numerous studies support that PG is not a skin sensitizer or a carcinogen." Also: Propylene glycol is often confused with diethylene alcohol (antifreeze). Propylene glycol is an organic compound that is a colorless, nearly odorless, clear liquid. It has such a low chronic oral toxicity, that it's generally recognized as safe for use as a direct food additive. Cases of propylene glycol poisoning have been caused (supposedly) by inappropriate intravenous use or accidental ingestion of large quantities of it. The cases of toxicity are reported to have resulted from tests that used very high concentrations of propylene glycol. In cosmetics, propylene glycol is used in the smallest amounts, supposedly to keep products from melting or freezing. It is used in minute amounts used in cosmetics. ...However - that doesn't mean you should use it, and I'm not personally recommending it or vouching for it. In case you've been using this stuff and then started to worry about the ingredients, I hope this information may comfort you (in case, like me, you thought you were poisoning yourself via armpits.) I wouldn't used this deodorant if I were pregnant, but I'll use up what I have. It smells great, and it works well. I've noticed that Propylene Glycol is a common ingredient in many natural deodorants, including Tom's of Maine, so there probably aren't many reports of allergies or toxicity (yet, at least).

Comments about L'Occitane en Provence Verbena Cooling Deodorant Stick, 1.7 oz:

It has a nice smell to it but it fades halfway through the day. I would recommend using it only if you're touching up your deodorant, and not as all day protection. Very disappointing.

this is the best i've tried yet, very light and refreshing lemon verbena scent... i like the clear stick applicator (better than liquid roll ons which can be hard to dry... and better than white stick which leaves a yucky residue). the packaging is nice and pretty too. HIGHLY recommend to all.

I LOVE this product! I have a difficult time finding deodorants that will last and after a friend recommend I try this one, I'm never going back to anything else! I also tried the roll-on version [...] and it is just as good if not a little better than the stick! My search is over! L'Occitane is the brand for me from now on!

I had high hopes for this product. It does smell great but after awhile I don't smell so great. This is winter and there is NO way I could trust this in warmer weather. I will keep using it because its not cheap but only on very cool days and when I don't have a lot going on.

Unfortunately, drugstore.com did not list the ingredients of this product. L'Occitane professes to be natural and uses an original French formula. Well, I highly doubt that Propylene Glycol (which is the 2nd ingredient) was a part of the original formula. Beware... propylene glycol is dangerous, especially on the underarms so close to your lymph glands. I did not even open this and am returning it IMMEDIATELY.

It feels nice putting it on, no white residues.
However, the smell doesn't last that long...and the price is too ridiculous.

Probably will not repurchase unless it's on sale for <$10.
