I look for the cheapest product that really works. I find that this handcream is so far superior to ones I can get at a drugstore/grocery or natural market. I use it at bedtime on my hands I find that is the most effective time for me because I am not washing my hands. I hate to wash off product. It is really expensive, but keeps me from having a whole bunch of creams and moisturizers. I use it after I shave my legs because I have sensitive skin and get irritated even using a shave product for sensitive skin. It keeps my leggs feeling better. I highly recomend this procut it works iin the dry climiate I live in in the winter.

It's a good product but does leave your hands feeling greasy. You don't want to touch your hair or face after using the product. I have VERY dry skin and think it could absorb more effectively and be less greasy. I prefer some of their other products more.

Comments about L'Occitane en Provence Shea Butter Dry Skin Hand Cream, 5.2 oz:

I purchased this lotion because I thought that it would really help my dry winter hands. It had great reviews, so I assumed that I had nothing to worry about. It feels good for the first 15 minutes, but then my hands start feeling dry and in need of moisture again. Not worth the money. L'Occitane's fregrances can't be beat, but I think that the oils provide more moisture than the lotions (the Divine Creame being the exception).

Comments about L'Occitane en Provence Shea Butter Dry Skin Hand Cream, 5.2 oz:

I do like this hand cream but there is another brand that I use that is actually a better value and it works better than L'Occitane on my hands. I heard that there is a tube of their handcream sold every 3 seconds worldwide so they must be doing something right!

My husband works as a painter, using chemicals sometimes, and washing hands often. He has severely dry skin and this is the only product that does the most benefit for him. Pricey = yes, but a little goes a long way. Highly recommend.

I do not use any other hand cream except for going out in sun since this cream does not have sun protection factor.
The most annoying thing about the cream is its label. It peels off after few uses and bares a greasy/sticky part under it. I am not certain why 150 ml bottle doesn't have the built-in label like 10 ml has.
