Like the deodorant, because it's kinda healthy, but makes me smell weird. The protection doesn't last, would say it makes me sweat more and makes my sweat to smell weird. More I use it, worse the smell gets. My armpits never used to smell, but after this deodorant it's unbearable:(

I was tired of using deodorants that contain aluminum and other harsh chemicals. I had tried the crystal deodorants and other natural products and found that my underarm odor was worse with them. This product is not an antiperspirant, so I do find on days that I am outside in the heat or doing a heavy workout I need to apply it more. I guess that is the only downfall that I can see. The combination of coconut and vanilla is amazing!! Both are light scents not overpowering like they can be in the old style of suntan lotions. If you are looking for a product that goes on clean, smells good and does not contain harsh chemicals this is worth the price!! Here to good health and smelling good!

I really wanted to love this product. I had read all the reviews I could find on it. I waited until it went on sale due to the high price. I was so excited to get it to try it since everyone loves it. I should have saved my money. The smell is not that great. It's strong and smells more like a floral smell than what I was anticipating. I have a very good nose and I can't smell any coconut scent at all. I do smell some vanilla but I'm not sure if the other ingredients interfere with it or not but it's not a good vanilla smell. I did wear it for a day to see if the scent would change but it did not. It did fade after a few hours. It did go on well, a little bit of white powder residue. It kept me dry which was great. It felt good on my skin and I didn't have any reaction to it as I have very sensitive skin. I love that it's all natural. Other than the smell it was great. I just couldn't get past the smell. I was really hoping for that fresh vanilla coconut smell.

I've been on the hunt for an effective 'natural' deodorant for a long time now...but, I'm a sweaty, yoga girl and I need something with major power. I have tried numerous aluminum-free products (Dr. Hauschka, Weleda, Toms of Maine, etc), but none have been able to carry me for more than a few hours. Normal deodorants (Dove, Secret, etc) have been irritating my underarms for as long as I can recall, but natural products have never been effective enough for me to make the switch... So...blah, right? I finally bought the Lavanila "The Healthy Deodorant" as it met all of my criteria for a natural deodorant...no parabens, no mineral oil, non-irritating, and no aluminum. But, would it WORK? The answer...YES. It REALLY does. I have been wearing this for the past week - to work, to the gym, out in the sun, shopping...and it has been effective in every scenario. My pits have been DRY...and not stinky. I realize that [$] is a lot to spend on a stick of deodorant, but, really, I think that it is well worth the money to be using something healthier for me... You can't put a price on that! Also, I have to say that the appearance of my underarms has improved greatly. Aluminum based products were SO drying, left a white film, and created so many bumps and ingrown hairs. After a week of use...I have noticed fewer bumps, ingrown hairs and the overall texture of the area is smoother. Yes, it is sort of odd to care about the look and feel of your pits, but hey, tank top weather is coming up!! Plus, I really enjoy the scents. Vanilla Coconut is my favorite, but I do think the Grapefruit and Passion Fruit are really nice, as well. Overall...I recommend this. I am super happy to finally find an effective alternative to harsh deodorants! I hope it works as well for you as it does for me.
