the beauty of baked...now for the body!

Laura says: "I created this unique all over Baked Body Frosting for whenever you want to 'show a little skin,' and that skin deserves to be polished to perfection. Besides, it's fun to add a sexy little shimmer to your arms, legs, shoulders, back, decollete and even to the nape of your neck. Like all my Baked Goods, Baked Body Frosting starts as pigment-rich liquid that is poured onto terracotta pans and baked for 24 hours. The result is an extremely fine, silky smooth powder that slips on a sensuous luminosity. To give this exceptional formula a more luxurious feel, and the moist dewy look of well-hydrated skin, I added a few special drops of my secret ingredient, Ceraphyl Oil."

Benefits:

  • Paraben and Mineral Oil free
  • Provides natural looking glow and radiance all over the body
  • Contains Ceraphyl Oil which gives incredible slip and the look of freshly hydrated skin
  • Includes two skin-repairing antioxidants, White Tea and Centella Asiatica
  • Made in Italy
  • Ideal for all skin types

Honey Glow, will kiss your skin with the sun-warmed, radiance of wholesome, golden, natural color.

Made in Italy.  Puff made in Thailand.

Honey Glow is gorgeous as a highlighter for my olive skin. I use it on my body, and it evens out my skin tone, adds radiance, and makes my skin look and feel silky and smooth. This is especially nice on my legs, because I have lots of scars and I'm always bruised from playing with my kids, gardening, etc. This helps make my skin look even, and so healthy. Applied wet, the effect is more intense, and appropriate for evening glamour. I'm a mother of three in a very busy household, so evening glamour isn't something I've yet had the time to actually wear anywhere, but I did play around with the powder one evening just to see what effects I could create. In the daytime I wear a light dusting of this on my neck, arms, & shoulders, and then rub it onto my legs with the sponge. It does have shimmer, so you if you don't like shimmer, and want matte color, this probably isn't for you. Honey Glow doesn't add color to my skin, unless I apply it wet and layer it. The shimmer isn't "glittery" or garish, so the powder makes my skin look and feel smooth and glowing. You'd have to look really, really close to see any individual sparkles, but even if you did, it's so pretty, it works. I have yet to have this rub off on anything, including bedsheets. I have to rub it off with cleanser in the shower, because it doesn't come off easily if just rinsed. Obviously this isn't going to last through vigorous swimming or vigorous athletic activity, but nothing will. This does last until I remove it, and it beats the heck out of streaky, stinky self-tanners, or greasy lotions. Laura Geller has a new Body Frosting called Tahitian Glow, and I cannot wait to be able to purchase it. It looks like it's the one to use for a "tan" look for medium and darker skintones. Honey Glow could probably work as a fake tan on fair skintones, but most likely only if the undertones are yellow. I'm not sure, but Honey Glow may be too golden on cool-toned skin, or show up with dreaded orange tones. I'd recommend Honey Glow as "try before buy" if you have fair skin, and also, if you're Medium/Dark and want a "tanned" look, rather than just a glow, you may want to wait for Tahitian Glow. As nice as this looks on my body, I tried it on my face once, and it looked horrible. It was as if I put a magnifier over my pores and it discovered tiny fine lines I didn't know I had. I've never had a body product that also worked on my face, so this doesn't surprise me. I have Bronze & Brighten for my face, so overall I can pretend I look like a beach goddess while I change diapers and make tuna sandwiches. ;-)

I bought this before finding a few similar baked products at ([@]) and they were 5 grams and priced at 2 for [$]. I bought in a lighter bronze and medium bronze. They came without a powder puff and are not quite a pigmented but match my natural skin tone better - not so yellow - and I apply wet so - just about the same thing - more product for [$]. Look around before you buy. There were few drugstore baked products out there last year but now they are everywhere and are nice, perhaps not quite as pigmented but for the price you can go over again or use a few different colors and blend.

Comments about Laura Geller Beauty Baked Body Frosting with Body Puff, Bronzer - Honey Glow, .85 oz:

I have fair skin and sometimes use self-tanning creams, tantowel, or airbrush tans. This is great when I don't have time to self-tan and I don't want to be pastey-white. It is also a way to boost a self-tan - give it a pretty shimmer. I use the Honey color and love it! It looks natural in photographs. I can totally cover my arms with it, and it doesn't rub off onto my shirt. It doesn't rub off onto my clothes, except under my clothes, where my clothes are rubbing or tight against my skin. It seems expensive, but it lasts a long time, much longer than you would expect. Easy and quick to apply, doesn't smell funny, feels nice on the skin. Gives a gorgeous glow when applied with a moisturizing body lotion. It's quicker to apply before the moisturizer.

I have tried many bronzers, and this is by far the best! I use this on my face and it is the most beautiful tan color I have ever had. Sometimes it can get shiny in the t-zone areas, so I will use the LG Welcome Matte under, and the problem is solved!

Comments about Laura Geller Beauty Baked Body Frosting with Body Puff, Bronzer - Honey Glow, .85 oz:

I got this in Honey Glow to use on my legs and arms in the summer. It is a gorgeous coverage of warmth and adds dewy glow to the skin. I have used it wet and dry and prefer wet on the shoulders and legs and dry on the arms and chest. This evens skin tone very nicely on the body.

I also have Tahitian Glow and use it on my face and body. This one evens skin tone on my face and body and does well to cover hyper pigmentation too. Laura Geller's body bronzers are the best on the market as far as Im concerned. I use the sponge/puff for my body and I use a face brush for Tahitan Glow on my face to finish. What a spectacular finish and sexy look it gives!

STOP! Yes people, here it is. The best temporary DHC-free bronzer I have ever tried. I have been self tanning since before many of you were born. This is not a self tanner. Fair skin can be difficult to enhance. We look sick, pasty, orange etc. Honey is my choice of color. Once applied, don't mess with it anymore until you want to remove it. I use on my pasty legs for instant beauty. Fix a sunless tanner/orange issue quick like.. So I ordered a back up. It also covers imperfections. The price is high but worth it. You would not expect this to hold up in a rainstorm.

Have tried so many different kinds of bronzer and this is so unique. No orange whatsoever. You just use the included puff and sweep over legs arms wherever. Can even use wet, but no need for me, I like it dry. Stays on skin so well. Of course you will get a bit of transfer, but not much to speak of considering this is a powder. You MUST try this if you have legs you want to darken! So natural looking. I am getting an extra one.

I loved using this on the chest and arms. However when I applied over makeup was too much. I haven't tried it without makeup to see the difference. I saw this on QVC and they sold out, that is why I tried it. Planning to use it on arms and chest when going to a wedding to look tan. Doesn't rub off. I don't know how they managed that, I was afraid of it getting on my clothes, but I live in Florida where you definately sweat and there was no problem. Try it I think you will be pleased

I am fair and stay out of the sun as much as possible, but wanted some color on my legs. I have tried many different sun-less tanners, but haven't liked any of them. This product is easy to apply, stays on until washed off, and looks perfectly natural. I have purchased one for home and one for travel. I use it everyday and have had many compliments on my "tan".
