I've been using this for almost a year now. I originally purchased to use as a powder over my liquid foundation. One morning, in a hurry as usual, I decided to try this on its own without the liquid foundation. WOW - it looked great! This is a unique baked foundation, and not minerals. I am not a fan of mineral makeup like some people are, but am a huge fan of Laura Geller's Baked products!

I have used bare minerals and pur minerals for the past several years. I was thinking this product would compete with those brands and I was WRONG! First of all I wear a fairly light in Bare Minerals and ordered the fair in Laura Geller and it was WAY TOO DARK! This is a fantastic product. I have pruchased it multiple times, and though I try other powders and powder foundations, this is consistently my favorite.
First, the packaging. This is a huge amount of product. It's taken me the better part of a year to even put a dent in this thing. Plus, it's not so bulky that I feel like I can't slip it into my purse or makeup bag for touchups. Very pleased with that.
Second, the quality. Laura Geller's baked products start as liquids and are baked on clay. They are incredibly high quality, and they are very dense. I feel like the moisture content is high enough that I don't look like I'm a ghost, but it's absolutely matte, no shimmer or dewiness. The swirled colors are somewhat tone correcting, and they add dimension to my skin - very flattering.
Lastly, the wear. This powder foundation can be built up. I'll use it lightly with a very fluffy powder brush to set my liquid face makeup, and it adds a nice extra layer of coverage. I'll use it with a dense rounded brush as my foundation with some concealer. It doesn't matter how I apply this stuff, it looks fantastic. It's just tops. It lasts longer than regular setting powders (I've used Revlon Nearly Naked, NYX Matte But Not Flat, Sonia Kashuk powder, etc.) and it has the most flattering finish.
Bottom line, this powder foundation is versatile, flattering, and not exorbitantly expensive. Plus, my very pale skin requires a very light shade, not typically found in drugstore brand powders. I have used both Porcelain and Fair shades, liked them both.

I use this face powder after moisurizer and light drugstore foundation and it gives me a flawless look (I'm 45 so it's covering a thousand sun spot sins).

You do have to layer this to get good coverage, but it is easy to do if you have the right tools and it stays on well.

The color was an exact match for my skin tone. It brushes on easily and although it's a light application, it covers well. I have since bought more Laura Geller products and they are equally of this high quality.

I have very fair skin so can not wear this over a liquid foundation, But good news, don't have to. This product in the fair color erases the need for foundation! It does make my skin look too dark if I put on foundation first. When I use just the powder my skin looks so even and smooth. It is a little pricey but I believe you get what you pay for. Love Laura's products. If I am going out for a special occasion, I will use my liquid foundation and use this product in the porcelain color. I use just the powder for everyday (work, shopping etc,). Also my skin has pink undertones and this works well.
