The shadow can be used by swiping a brush all over the Marble Shadow and stroking over the entire eyelid. Or, you can identify different shades and tones within the compact and apply them individually...use darker tones in the crease and at outer corners, brighter ones to highlight. Ordered this in pink icing, which looked very pretty in the online images. The actual product is colorless - when applied it has no appearance at all. Overpriced, returned.
