Bronzer - Honey Glow
the beauty of baked...now for the body! Laura says: "I created this unique all over Baked Body Frosting for whenever you want to 'show a little skin,' and that skin deserves to be polished to perfection. Besides, it's fun to add a sexy little shimmer to your arms, legs, shoulders, back, decollete and even to the nape of your neck. Like all my Baked Goods, Baked Body Frosting starts as pigment-rich liquid that is poured onto terracotta pans and baked for 24 hours. The result is an extremely fine, silky smooth powder that slips on a sensuous luminosity. To give this exceptional formula a more luxurious feel, and the moist dewy look of well-hydrated skin, I added a few special drops of my secret ingredient, Ceraphyl Oil." Benefits:
Honey Glow, will kiss your skin with the sun-warmed, radiance of wholesome, golden, natural color. Made in Italy. Puff made in Thailand. |

PS: Take care of your puff. Every now and then wash it out with anti-bacterial soap, and let dry overnight. |

Honey Glow is gorgeous as a highlighter for my olive skin. I use it on my body, and it evens out my skin tone, adds radiance, and makes my skin look and feel silky and smooth. This is especially nice on my legs, because I have lots of scars and I'm always bruised from playing with my kids, gardening, etc. This helps make my skin look even, and so healthy. Applied wet, the effect is more intense, and appropriate for evening glamour. I'm a mother of three in a very busy household, so evening glamour isn't something I've yet had the time to actually wear anywhere, but I did play around with the powder one evening just to see what effects I could create. In the daytime I wear a light dusting of this on my neck, arms, & shoulders, and then rub it onto my legs with the sponge. It does have shimmer, so you if you don't like shimmer, and want matte color, this probably isn't for you. Honey Glow doesn't add color to my skin, unless I apply it wet and layer it. The shimmer isn't "glittery" or garish, so the powder makes my skin look and feel smooth and glowing. You'd have to look really, really close to see any individual sparkles, but even if you did, it's so pretty, it works. I have yet to have this rub off on anything, including bedsheets. I have to rub it off with cleanser in the shower, because it doesn't come off easily if just rinsed. Obviously this isn't going to last through vigorous swimming or vigorous athletic activity, but nothing will. This does last until I remove it, and it beats the heck out of streaky, stinky self-tanners, or greasy lotions. Laura Geller has a new Body Frosting called Tahitian Glow, and I cannot wait to be able to purchase it. It looks like it's the one to use for a "tan" look for medium and darker skintones. Honey Glow could probably work as a fake tan on fair skintones, but most likely only if the undertones are yellow. I'm not sure, but Honey Glow may be too golden on cool-toned skin, or show up with dreaded orange tones. I'd recommend Honey Glow as "try before buy" if you have fair skin, and also, if you're Medium/Dark and want a "tanned" look, rather than just a glow, you may want to wait for Tahitian Glow. As nice as this looks on my body, I tried it on my face once, and it looked horrible. It was as if I put a magnifier over my pores and it discovered tiny fine lines I didn't know I had. I've never had a body product that also worked on my face, so this doesn't surprise me. I have Bronze & Brighten for my face, so overall I can pretend I look like a beach goddess while I change diapers and make tuna sandwiches. ;-)

I bought this before finding a few similar baked products at ([@]) and they were 5 grams and priced at 2 for [$]. I bought in a lighter bronze and medium bronze. They came without a powder puff and are not quite a pigmented but match my natural skin tone better - not so yellow - and I apply wet so - just about the same thing - more product for [$]. Look around before you buy. There were few drugstore baked products out there last year but now they are everywhere and are nice, perhaps not quite as pigmented but for the price you can go over again or use a few different colors and blend.

Comments about Laura Geller Beauty Baked Body Frosting with Body Puff, Bronzer - Honey Glow, .85 oz:
I don't tan and needed something for my arms and legs for a special event. This looks very natural, not orange, not dirty, and also not too dark. It has some shimmer up close, but just looks like a natural tan. Goes on easily with the included puff. Can be used wet for a more intense appearance. It stayed on well for hours, gave my arms, legs and chest a nice healthy tanned glow. It photographs well, skin looks natural. It will transfer a tiny bit, I wouldn't wear it with white, otherwise a great product.
