I have very kinky curly hair, like the product is targeted to. When doing your hair it's best to put on soaking wet hair and make sure you have lots of slip. Let it slip for a few minutes like 3-5. (you can wash your body etc) then take a wide tooth comb and start from the bottom to the top combing out your hair. It really does help detangling and loose the cuticles, you just have to let it sit. My only complaint is the price and how much you get in the bottle!

Kinky Curly Knot Today is an expensive detangler that's supposed to be all natural. There are much better products for detangling that are more affordable. In the beginning, I used this product to detangle my hair all the time since I did not have to use much, but since my hair is growing out more it requires the use of too much more of this product, which is already greasy feeling, and has a horrible scent that lingers.

this stuff works, YOU HAVE TO READ THE DIRECTIONS.....it tells you if you want to use it as a DETANGLER you have to apply it in the shower and comb it through. It is basically a leave in conditioner FROM THE TIME YOU PUT IT ON IN THE SHOWER. You are also NOT supposed to towel dry your hair. Blot and let it air dry or apply curling custard. This stuff is awesome. It's the only thing that I've used as an adult that gives me the spiral curls I had as a child. To revive the curl the next day, just spray with water.
The even more awesomer(yes I made up a word, lol!) thing is I use this on my 4 year old son. All natural ingredients, so no worries.

I have long curly hair and detangling it after washing is always a struggle. I was really hoping this product would do what it claims, but was sadly disappointed by it. It has zero detangling properties that I noticed. Granted, I only used it once due to the very annoying experience I had trying it for the first time. It's going in the garbage, which is equally annoying.
