I was very hesitant to buy this foundation because of the high mineral oil content it contained. I have oily skin and am very prone to breakouts, so I thought that the mineral oil would surely cause some pimples to appear. I was desperate for a full coverage foundation to cover the hyperpigmentation that I have acquired through my teenage years and this seemed to be just the product to deliver the results that I wanted. I was able to sheer this out so much and still have concealer like coverage that it really looks like I have nothing on my skin. I need to set it with a powder because I have oily skin, but I could see a person with dry to normal skin be able to wear this without powder. Because of the high mineral oil content it is actually very hydrating, so it would be great for dry skin in that aspect.

Just make sure you get the right shade but the available shades here are limited, I may have to just return it and get a refund.

I have medium skin tone with yellow undertones and got the sx08. When I first apply the foundation under my eyes it looks too pasty but within a minute it almost magically blends into the skin perfectly and makes my dark circles disappear. When applied all over the face it gives a smooth and even coverage that lasts a long time without smudging. I absolutely love the way this product blends without streaking and soaks into my skin like a moisturizer without leaving it greasy. And don't be fooled by the size of the pot, just a little bit of this stuff will give you a lot of coverage.

As the reviews said it was hard to find the right color, and as I was returning it I did not want to use too much in trying it out. I think to mix it with moisturizer is the only way I could have worn it as foundation. It stuck like glue to skin probably because of the mineral oil content. I would try it out again if I was sure I could find the correct color and had time to play around with it. I do wish the main ingredient was not the mineral oil though. I am impressed with the overall quality of this line of products.

I, Liza Jane, am an addict - yes, I'm am admitted CERTIFIED PRODUCT JUNKY, always in search of the PERFECT! lol I found SO many positive reviews on how silky smooth this product makes skin appear, I just HAD to have it! I intended to apply it as I do nearly all foundation/concealer products: a touch of product strategically dotted, then blended with Evian spray water. I tried less, I tried more - no luck. At 41 years old, too heavy of coverage always seems to age - even if it doesn't settle into lines. I found this product too heavy FOR ME, even thicker than Dermablend I tried unsuccessfully to use years ago. But for anyone with a preference or need for heavy coverage, especially for scarring, I'd say this probably beats every other full coverage product I PERSONALLY have ever tried.

I was definitely pleasantly surprised with this product. The pot is so tiny, but a little goes a looooong way. I don't have to put as much on, so it doesn't cake on my skin. And I love it as a concealer around my eyes, it stays put all day. The color was perfect, which was surprising to me, since it's very difficult for me to find foundation that matches my very yellow skintone. I ordered this in SX08, which is medium with golden/yellow undertones. Great Product!

I've had this for over a year - with over half the product still remaining. It represents a very good value, despite the initial sticker shock. I use it primarily as a concealer for around my eyes, nose, and on any blemishes. I have dry, medium-toned Asian skin and find SX 08 is a perfect match. I dab on a tiny amount with a concealer brush after moisturizing, gently blend with a fingertip, and do my eye makeup while it sets. It is by far the best concealer-foundation I have used - better than Shu Uemura's foundations and CARGO's OneBase. And it lasts forever. I've used it without a primer for over a year, and have had great effects. In general, I've been very impressed with the "build quality" of Kevyn Aucoin's products. Not only is the packaging elegant and intuitive, but the formulations are among the best I've found outside of Asia. I also regularly use and recommend the KA pure powder blush in "dolline", and his eyelash curler.
