I have this lip gloss in the Datura shade. It is a beautiful sparkling color... quite sheer with loads of sparkles. Very very nice over a darker lipstick to give it a sparkling glow!
The color is great, the consistency is nice, and it is very nice gloss. BUT... the brush applicator has to be the worst that I have ever used. It had stray hairs poking out from all directions from the very start. This has happened to me in the past with other lip glosses and I have carefully removed the "stray hairs" with a pair of tweezers and it fixed the problem. NOT the case with this lip gloss. The brush is just horrible and each time I use it there are new stray hairs pointing in all directions and it is very difficult to apply evenly. I have seen dollar store lip glosses with better quality applicators than this. No joke.
I would have given it 1 star, but the product itself is very nice. I can tell you that for the price of this ... the applicator brush should be MUCH better quality. I possibly received a defective gloss -- and I truly hope so since Kevyn Aucoin usually has very high quality products.
