it's about time that someone, somewhere came up with the difinitive eye shadow palette for brown eyes! in my many years of buying make-up (i just turned 60!),everytime i see a beautiful trio or quad selection for brown eyes, i buy it thinking this is it..i'm done..no more hunting for the perfect color range..
well, guess what? i AM done. kevyn aucoin is truly a genius..
now, i guess, i'll continue to hunt for the perfect foundation (georgio armani is pretty close).buy this palette..but only if you want to be done!

I love these shadows, but unfortunately I'm allergic to them. I'm also allergic to all eye makeup manufactured by Loreal. Perhaps they share a manufacturer. Other than that, the colors are beautiful and long lasting. They have a very slight shimmer which saves them from being too flat looking. I can wear them on the upper eyelid, but not close to my lash line. Overall, I recommend these, unless you tend to be allergic to eye makeup.

Use a light touch & good lighting when applying - shadow can be surprisingly dark otherwise. Easy to blend & lasts all day for me.

I absolutely love this eyeshadow palette... being a professional makeup artist I was a bit taken back by the price but was able to get past the fact that I would be spending [$]eyeshadow anyhow with any other high quality makeup. I can use all 5 colors at once for a 50's natural look or 2 colors to create a smoky look... [...](it will last a long time) Regardless of being a professional or an every day user I would / and i am using this product everyday !!! Not only on my self but also my clients. I am sold !!!!

This eye shadow is decent, but not worth the price. My CoverGirl works just as well.

Kevyn will always be remembered. I have always admired Kevyn Aucoin's make-up artistry. The eye shadow palette was the first - but certainly not last - product from the Aucoin line I will purchase. Simply: The VERY best eyeshadow I have ever used! Power powder - a smooth, almost creamy feel. Dense, fully pigmented, yet translucent color. You can apply color sparingly, or layer for more depth, vibrance, even texture. The variety of looks - in this small palette is remarkable. Don't be fooled by the restrained neutral palette. Hands down, this is the very best eyeshadow you will ever use or try. It is extremely blendable. It does not crease, shift or move. Though many of the colors in the various palettes include mica or other "pearl" components, these do not "escape" from your eyelids to the rest of your face during the course of the day. You can use the shades sparingly--you needn't load your eyes with lots of product--and the palettes are long-lasting. I am a huge eyeshadow "collector", and my favorites used to be Dior, Chanel and Nars. Now that I've found Kevyn, however, he leaves them all in the dust!

I *love* these shadows.
I have the cool (that would be the #2 palette.) The colors in the palette suit my blue-green/hazel eyes very well. The texture is fantastic, very finely-milled. The shadows blend very well and are a joy to work with. Also, they are highly pigmented. The set is fairly expensive, but *so* worth it. I believe I will be wearing them a lot.
