Comments about Jose Eber GlassTech Infrared Glass Flat Iron, 1 ea:

I had been using Hana flat iron for a couple of years and was very happy with the product. However, this infrared iron surpassed my expectation! After purchasing infrared hair drier,I loved how it added so much shine to my hair I decided to purchase this flat iron and very happy with that I did! People compliments my hair all the time. They asked if I just went to a hair salon. The only complain I have is the corner of the iron catches my hair sometime. But benefit outweighs this minor flow. I am very happy with my purchase!

Okay, I can see where the other reviewers are coming from cause it does pull a little and does get surprisingly hot ( 450 degrees) but the results were great for me. I have thinner mid-length hair without any curl (just tons of frizz from flat ironing) and it smoothed better than my current straightener. I dont need to straighten as much as I need to eliminate frizz and make it look sleek. I just used it at a lower temperature setting and it worked great for me. I like the idea of glass plates, which is why I bought it. Also, I figured out the adjustable temperature. If you set the temp and wait a few seconds then it doesnt change while you style. That was annoying, but I figured it out.

Comments about Jose Eber GlassTech Infrared Glass Flat Iron, 1 ea:

I already own a Jose Eber Wet or Dry iron, so when I saw the infrared GlassTech I thought it was an innovative idea. I have thin, soft curly hair and I'm always looking for safer ways to straighten and give it shine. This iron worked great! My hair feels healthier than when I straighten with a traditional iron. The plates snagged my hair just a bit but, again, I have really curly hair. Overall, I was happy with the shiny, smooth results.

Comments about Jose Eber GlassTech Infrared Glass Flat Iron, 1 ea:

I have short-ish blonde hair and I use a flat iron to smooth out my frizz and sublte waves. I heard about this iron so I tried it because I like the idea of glass plates. I am really happy with it. It straightens my hair perfectly and completely emliminates the annoying frizz. It does get a little too hot for me, but I just used a lower heat. It's also a bit bulky, and not as slim as my previous iron, but I do straighten more hair at one time, so it kind of evens out.

Comments about Jose Eber GlassTech Infrared Glass Flat Iron, 1 ea:

I only used this straightener to do part of my hair...it was intolerable. The placement of the buttons is in a bad spot, in addition the iron locks after a few seconds. Having to readjust the temperature and unlock it while trying to straighten my hair is impossible. I also had to go over the hair several times to get it straight (I'll admit my hair is generally difficult to straighten, and may not be related to the iron).

Comments about Jose Eber GlassTech Infrared Glass Flat Iron, 1 ea:

On first inspection this is a nice looking unit. The plates are a little wider, so for my shoulder length hair, this is a plus.

My first comment would be about the touch control panel. It auto locks after 5 seconds, but is easily unlocked with 2 presses of the - button. Seems like a good idea, but in reality, all the time I was using it, it was beeping and the temperature was changing. The controls are exactly where your hand goes on the outside. Not a great design.

Lowest temperature I could set was 310F and it goes up to 400F. That's HOT! I normally use my irons around 260-280F, so 310F seems hot to me. However, the irons glided through my hair with little effort.

I have very curly hair that hes been keratin straightened. I only use irons as my keratin treatment is wearing off (now). I was happy to see my hair was shiny, not too flat and I had few flyaways. Great!

However, 30 mins later in 75% humidity, my hair was curling all around my shoulders. Not Good! Previously, with my Sedu irons, my hair would stay straight for 2-3 days after straightening at a lower temperature and with up to 85% humidity.

This is different technology, so I'm not sure if the higher temp is needed, but I am afraid to damage my hair.

I will presevere and update after a few more tries.
