I am so excited about this product! After doing much research on the effects of parabens and other preservatives I decided it was time to "go green" with my beauty routine. My first change was my hair care. I came across John Masters online and I'm so glad I did. This shampoo is great. The scent is spectacular! I don't think the conditioning component is intended to replace conditioner altogether. I believe its to keep the zinc in the shampoo from "ratting" up your hair. I have used other zinc shampoos (Pureology) without conditioning components and my hair was left a tangled mess. With this shampoo I have no tangles and only need to condition the ends of my hair. I use the Honey/Hibiscus reconstructor. My hair looks healthy, shiny, and is extremely manageable. I look forward to trying other John Masters products. FYI to other reviewers, Pureology is not organic unless there is a separate organic line that I am unaware of. All the Pureology products I have used contain chemicals and parabens and are far from organic.

I love the way this smells and it's definitely gentle. However, it doesn't make my hair feel as clean as my other shampoos. Maybe it's because I'm used to evil sulfates and this is sulfate-free. It's probably better for keeping your hair from drying out or keeping color from fading. So it's good. But for the price, I was hoping for perfection.

Comments about john masters organics Zinc & Sage Shampoo with Conditioner, 8 fl oz:
I love this shampoo! It leaves my fine, thick, slightly wavy hair very shiny and manageable. (It also helped with the somewhat flaky scalp I sometimes get in the winter.) I use it on my kids, too, because they like the mild coconut scent. Great stuff.
Comments about john masters organics Zinc & Sage Shampoo with Conditioner, 8 fl oz:
Not recommended at all! Left my hair dry and stringy all day, and I could barely brush through all the tangles after washing. It might be okay if you added a separate conditioner afterwards, but that kind of defeats the purpose. It gets two stars only because of its natural, organic ingredients. Otherwise, stay away!
Comments about john masters organics Zinc & Sage Shampoo with Conditioner, 8 fl oz:
I've been using the John Masters Lavendar & Rosemary Shampoo for years, but gave this a try last winter because my hair has started getting dryer in the winter. It cleans well without drying, and leaves my fine hair easy to style, not slick and limp like most shampoos. John Masters is my favorite brand of hair products and I just won't buy anything else anymore. Plus, it's organic and not tested on animals.
Comments about john masters organics Zinc & Sage Shampoo with Conditioner, 8 fl oz:
This shampoo-conditioner is really awesome!! I love the all-natural ingredients, and the smell is heavenly (if you like Hawaiian Tropics coconut smell, you will love this). It works well on my short curly hair. When my hair gets longer will be the true test of the conditioning part. But I love the convenience of having the two in one without all the harsh chemicals. It also keeps the itchy scalp issue away, if you tend to be on the dry side. The only real downside to this product is the price and the amount. I may have to switch to Aussie 2-in-1 moist. You get 13 oz for about 4 bucks. I haven't tried that yet, but I have a feeling I will hate switching, because this is the bomb conditioner!!
