I have been looking high and low for a polymer free and naturally fragranced product and finally shelled out the bucks for this. Unfortunately, it doesn't hold a style at all and merely adds some crunch and flakes. A very expensive mistake :(

I have wavy hair. This makes it pretty curly. I use the JMO Rosemary shampoo and Neroli conditioner in the shower. I use enough conditioner and run my fingers through my hair in the shower to remove tangles. I get out, DONT COMB my hair, which makes it curl more, and I scrunch this gel through it. It dries a little wet-looking at first, but in an hour or so, it is soft and shiny. It only flakes if you mess with it a bunch. It flaked on me when I was running my fingers through separating curls later (nervous habit) after it was dry. If you mess with it once it is dry, it might flake, but if you do minimal messing, you will be fine. It is less expensive than some of the other JMO hair treatments. It smells nice. I have a LOT of hair - long, fine, and dense, and a little goes a long way for me.

I've been using this gel for almost 2 years and I love it! It smells amazing and has a nice firm hold without feeling heavy or sticky or greasy, which are problems I've had with other natural hair products. It keeps my curls defined and bouncy and adds a little bit of shine. It CAN, however, be flaky - to prevent this I mix it with a dab of leave-in conditioner or a drop or two of shine serum (I like Ken Paves). You could also mix it with a tiny bit of hair oil (I've used Weleda's) if you wanted to keep it real natural. Great product!

first time i used it i think i put too much cause my hair was sticky and flaky and all i wanted was to wash it again! second time i tried it i used less and it was greta. my hair kept the curls for few days and it did not get frizzy with rain... too bad its a bit expensive..

I was looking for a healthy, safe styling product to help define my waves and improve their curl. This is very healthy and light, but when it dries my hair looks greasy and very flat. I guess I'll keep looking for me, but I would recommend it for someone with thick, unruly curly hair to bring it in line.

I love this product mixed with the Sweet Orange & Silk Protein conditioner. It gives great volume to my long hair.

This bottle lasts a long time. You only need a little squirt for each use, and I think it works best with wavy or curly hair. I don't think it would be a good idea to brush through your hair after applying this gel. If that's what youre looking for, you should probably use the detangler because it also helps with styling. This gel makes my curly hair shine. The next morning I can just spritz it with water to revive it; I don't even have to use more. My friend who has fine, thin, straight hair also loves this gel because it gives her a lot of body and feels nourishing.

I love the fact that this is a "natural" product, and I like the texture and hold of the product. However, it left flakes in my hair when I brushed through it during blow-drying. I have dark brown hair, and many gels leave white flakes after brushing and drying. The absence of flakes is the mark of a truly good gel.

This is by far the best gel I have ever used, and I've used hundreds. It truly only takes a little bit, and it holds all day. It leaves my hair soft, shiny, and it smells great. I will definitely buy this again!
