I have chronically chapped lips and have had forever. Chapstick was never enough and Carmex was too much. I need major moisturizing, not a wax sealer or a medicated burn. This one is it for me. I found it about five years ago and nothing compares. I try new things as they come along, just to keep my finger on the pulse, but I've yet to meet its match.

Expensive product that dissolves from just the (body) heat of contact with the lips. It smells great and helps smooth my chapped lips but it REALLY resmebles rubbing a stick of Crisco onto my lips. Needless to say, application of this stuff is oily, messy and gross.

Comments about john masters organics Lip Calm, .15 oz:
My old lip balm is being discontinued, so I was in search for a lip balm to replace it. I have very sensitive and dry lips. If I use a lip balm that has lanolin or petroleum, I get sick as well as the top of my upper lip and the skin above it gets cuts. It's very painful and embarassing. So I have to stick to natural and very moisturizing. This has the consistency of a lip balm that should be in a squeezable tube, I would suggest that John Masters and their company will make a lip balm that is in a squeezable form, that is the only problem I have with this lip balm. I love the lemon scent, it's similar to the hard lemon candy that my grandfather would always give me when I was little. The price is okay, for what you're getting. There are other lip balms out there that are all natural and they can be double the price of this and not as good. I really hope they will make this into a squeezable packaged lip balm soon.

Comments about john masters organics Lip Calm, .15 oz:
smells wonderful -- like citrus; glides on easily and feels very moist; imparts a slight glossiness to lips but just wish it lasted longer on the lips; all the ingredients are quality -- no synthetics/chemicals; my husband loves this -- we both use it a night time before bed...it's definitely a 'keeper'! Oh, and the price isn't that bad either, especially for what you get.

Comments about john masters organics Lip Calm, .15 oz:
This is no chapstick. It will only feel greasy (as one reviewer complained) if you try to cake it on and overdo it. A very small amount goes a long way (yay!) as this is more like a lip moisturizer and it does what it should in that regard.
Prone to dry lips, I am a long time lip balm addict--or I used to be before I realized that products with petroleum based waxes or/and shea butter were actually making my lips drier in the long run, hence my dependence on constant lip balm use. Since then I've switched to natural products, including Perricone M.D. and, for a protective balm, I especially like Badger Balm's sticks.
I was at spa in Waikiki when I saw this John Masters Lip Calm, read the ingredients, and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. It has a very subtle fresh citrus flavor and it leaves my lips feeling great, even through a week of tropical heat and sunshine. This is my new favorite lip treatment: after 3 months I'm still not out of it but am here today buying more so I'll be stocked up just in case.

Comments about john masters organics Lip Calm, .15 oz:
Like many women, I have tried lots of lip balms. By and large, they are all pretty much equal, i.e., they are okay. The difference between them seems to largely be how long they last.
Lip Calm is in a class by itself. It feels very soothing going on ( as many lip balms do), BUT, it sinks into the lips and the super-calming, super-nourishing feel does not wear off for much longer than the others.
It has greater lasting power than any other lip balm I've ever tried. Also, because you don't have to apply it as frequently, this takes much of the sting off the higher price (relative to most lip balms).
In short, I really thought all lip balms were more or less the same and this is the first one I would say is genuinely better. Highly recommend.

Comments about john masters organics Lip Calm, .15 oz:
Some people have complained about this balm being greasy but I just think it's super emollient. You just need one swipe to efficiently moisturize your lips. I had super chapped (cracked and bleeding) lips last night and I put this on and my lips were perfect this morning. It really does work and heal.

Comments about john masters organics Lip Calm, .15 oz:
Every winter my son has the worst chapped lips from constantly licking his lips and from windburn. I put this on his lips and in one day they were completely healed. No other lip balm compares to the healing ability of this one. It's well worth it.

Comments about john masters organics Lip Calm, .15 oz:
Picture displays incorrect color, the stick is a faint lime green but balm is colorless. it is actually not bad if you can put up with the strong scent. I am only using it before bed, it works fine. it is very emollient. Might be too thick to wear during the day under lip gloss, IMO.
I would probably buy it again next winter, but no rush.
