Over time & used in conjunction with other john masters conditioners (I prefer using this with the detangler) my hair became unbelievably healthy: shiny, bouncy, the full works. I've used many other lines but this is perfect for my fine hair and oily scalp. Not all john masters products are winners but I've bought this numerous times.

This is just an okay shampoo. Doesn't moisturize or add anything special for dry hair -- it's like a shampoo for normal hair. Not worth the cost.

While I'm all for organic hair care, I am having trouble finding the right line. This shampoo smelled terrible to me, and it made my highlighted hair seems dried out on the ends, and greasy at my already slightly oily scalp...horrible results for me, sorry to say!

I didn't care for this after buying it, as I'm still getting used to sulfate-free products. It felt as though it couldn't distribute well and give me a good clean result. This changed as I learned how to use the product! For one, I've found it easier to put a smaller amount in my hand and rinse my hair with the shampoo twice instead of washing it once with a larger amount the first time. It lathers better this way. Also, when you are rubbing it between your hands to make a lather, it really helps to put your hands under the water of your shower, kind of like putting bubble bath under running water to create the bubbles instead of a standing bath. It distributes throughout your hair more evenly this way, and is terrific. Now that I've figured out how to use SLS-free shampoo, I won't be going back!!! This shampoo also has a pleasant smell and leaves me feeling good in the morning.
