When you first use this product, you need to be sure to note the information on the back that natural & organic oils will become solidified when arriving from a cold delivery truck or sitting on your porch in cold weather, etc. When I first opened the package the tube was very solid and hard to dispense. However, after sitting on my night stand for a few hours, it's perfect consistency. When you squeeze it out, be sure to rub it with your hands (the fragrance of the natural cacao is heavenly) to help it with spreading consistency. This sounds like a lot to do, but it takes a second and it's a fabulous moisturizer. I put it all over my dry feet & pop some socks on overnight and next morning they are smooth. It's a delightful evening hand cream as well, just not appropriate for carrying in your purse as it takes a few moments to absorb all the organic oils so it's not made for daytime use.

I am a huge fan of JMO and I had to write a review when I saw just one 1-star review for this product. I have this product and at first I thought maybe something was wrong with my tube, but the stuff just has a weird texture: it's sort of a grease with chunks of coco butter suspended in it. Not very appetizing, I know, but it really works pretty well once you get used to it. It is quite oily and heavy--but that is exactly what I need. It takes a minute to work it in (your body heat melts the little coco butter bits and it absorbs) and you might need to avoid touching anything you don't want to get greasy (so it is great at night) but it is fabulously moisturizing. It really works on my extremely dry hands--and its all natural. Which is so important to me. Also, it smells nice, like a really subtle chocolatey smell, and it lasts FOREVER because a little goes a long way.

I don't know if I received a product gone bad or not since I have never tried this product. I can only describe it as something like a thick gross ointment with sand mixed inside, a greasy mess...not at all a creamy luxury butter one would expect for such a pricey tube. But most John Masters products are good, so I gave it a try. I wrote Beauty.com about it and had an answer very quickly. Despite the fact I already opened the sealed tube and tried it, Beauty.com still issued me a full and prompt refund on my charge card, along with a paid mailing label to send it back. They really do want their customers to be fully satisfied and when their is a question of quality, they respond. I am very satisfied, because otherwise [$] would have been in the trash today and that would suck for me. Thank you Beauty.com!
