If you already have a set of basic brushes, then go ahead and purchase this one. As a last step, After contouring my face and applying powder, bronzer and blush, I use this fan brush to lightly blend/smooth the lines between the powder products. Good to "knock-off" under eye powder after applying eye shadow. After cleaning, lay flat to dry - did not shed. I kept the little plastic thing it came with to keep the shape. Nice brush.

I love this brush for applying a light blush. Make-up brushes are worth the investment that you make in them. If you take care of them they will last forever.

I heard raves about Jane Iredale brushes and needed one for blush. There isn't enough of this brush to really pick up the blush and apply it. It is a fan brush, but is quite thin. I have to add blush and apply then add more and apply multiple times to get enough coverage that a round brush would probably do better with. And it sheds LOTS! I end up with white hairs everywhere. Granted it was not an expensive brush, but it didn't suit me.

I apply mascara, then take the fan brush and spread mascara on both the bottom and the top of my upper lashes. Really effective tool.

I use this product to apply mineral blush and it works well. It doesn't waste product or applies too much at one time. This brush is for a lighter application.
