This is a lovely compact: elegant, dressy, and constructed of high quality. I use it for my Jane Iredale beyond matte powder refill. I wanted a second color option (other than gold) to distinguish my finishing powder from my pressed powder foundation, and this fit the bill. The crystal gives it a nice flair - not cheesy looking like I anticipated. The only drawbacks are that it's a bit heavier than the classic JI gold compact, and it shows smudges and fingerprints. But it's durable and doesn't scratch easily.
