Comments about Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm SPF 25, Vanilla & Lavender, .25 oz:

Since the beginning of the year my lips were in a terrible state: to call them chapped would be an understatement. They were dried out cracked, bleeding, it was painful and embarrassing. For whatever reason my go-to softlips no longer sufficed even though I applied it far more regularly than I used to. Over several months I tried burt's bees, chapstick, eos, carmex, nivea, rosebud, blistex, vaseline...and in the cases where a brand had several different types, I tried virtually every type, using them religiously. Some helped, but only if I reapplied on a near-constant basis, and not enough to ease my self-consciousness. I was about to give in and buy one of the expensive lip balms (you probably know which one...costs $25...) even though it *really* didn't suit my budget, when I saw many people singing Jack Black's praises on a beauty blog.

And they were right to do so. It was like a miracle. In a couple of days my lips were healed! They are no longer bleeding, cracked, sore, chapped, or pale from dryness. I just ran out (an excuse to try another variety!) and in the interim my lips have become a bit dry again, but they aren't a mess anymore. Unlike the others, which, at best, soothed the surface, it seems to me that Jack Black went deeper, truly healing my lips.

As to the particular variety I tried - lavender and vanilla - it's lovely. Be aware that the scent is mostly lavender. For a moment I was disappointed since vanilla is my favourite scent, but I love lavender too, and it definitely isn't a *pure* lavender scent; think of it as "LAVENDER and [a touch of] vanilla." The Lavender & Vanilla Jack Black has the added benefit of aromatherapy. Each time I apply the balm the scent calms me, relaxes me, helps me to re-center. Perhaps it won't work that way for everyone - but it was an unexpected bonus. The fact that it works so well for such a reasonable price is enough to make this one of the best products I've ever tried. My lips (and my budget) have been saved!

Comments about Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm SPF 25, Vanilla & Lavender, .25 oz:

I had heard amazing things about this lip balm. It feels very nice and great for sun protection but it should only be called lavender. The smell is VERY lavender and not at all vanilla. Not entirely a bad thing, but just thought future buyers might want to know that!
