This brush is fantastic and gives my hair a great curve. I have medium length hair with long layers and I don't want a curl at the bottom. This huge brush gets my hair very smooth and it just bends nicely all the way down. With longer hair, you could probably create nice big waves, too.

Comments about iTech Magnetic Boar & Nylon Hairbrush, 4-1/4", 1 ea:
For a long time I have purchased round brushes that were in the $5-10 range so this was a bit of a stretch for me. But I liked the size of the barrel, and wanted to use boar bristles because I heard it's better for your hair.
My hair: moderately thick, straight, long and of somewhat damaged (from previous heat styling).
The pros: I'm able to style my hair in less time than I normally take using a round brush that is smaller in size. I think the boar bristles grab onto flyaways and help smooth the overall texture, as well.
The cons: this brush is actually quite heavy compared to other brushes- it could be due to the size and the "technology" (the ceramic barrel, etc.), so I find that I'm developing mild carpel tunnel from holding my brush in the air at awkward angles as I apply heat/dryer. Kind of alarming, now that I write this... maybe they can create a lighter version in the future. Also, the ceramic barrel gets really hot as the dryer heats it up- be careful as you might burn yourself a little.

I love this brush - I have very thick and wavy hair and this brush does the trick to straighten. The time it took with other brands was a killer however this one has cut that time in 1/2. I haven't had any issues with mine falling apart - so that could be a fluke!

Love the large size. Great for long hair. Cuts drying time drastically. Leaves incredible shine. Strong brush.
Comments about iTech Magnetic Boar & Nylon Hairbrush, 4-1/4", 1 ea:
Actually, I was surprised to see that someone else experienced what I did with my big iTech brush (the top popping off). However, I do think this is an unfortunate fluke. I am a hairdresser and all the stylists in both of my salons use these brushes and I was the only one this happened to (so far). They really do cut down on frizz and drying time, making the hair smooth and shiny much faster than traditional brushes. I do wish they were made to stick together better, however.
Comments about iTech Magnetic Boar & Nylon Hairbrush, 4-1/4", 1 ea:
This was the exact type of brush I'd been looking for forever. I wanted a boar and nylon bristle extra large round brush. This would be perfect except that every time I use it, it falls apart. Who makes brushes in 3 pieces? I guess iTech does. The white round part goes into the red handle and there is a red part that fits into the white round part. Well, every time I try to use it the white part comes off of the handle. What good is this? Now I'm searching again. This was the biggest waste of money. It's junk.
