This is truly antibacterial and you can even smell that it is - my face was broken out in one area and it calmed the redness right away. It is also rapidly clearing up my skin. The only thing is that it can be drying so be sure to use a good moisturizer after use. It will cause your dead skin cells to slough off so be prepared for some peeling when initially using it. I love this stuff and am so glad I tried it.
