This a beautiful sheer pink color. With neatly manicured nails, this is a must-have for anyone looking for a put-together but minimal look. Very professional looking. There is a reason this is mentioned in almost every list of favorite polishes. A staple in anyone's nail polish collection.

I got married in this and loved it. It's so sheer that you could see the ends of my nails through it and it looked like a more subtle french manicure. Photographed beautifully.

Comments about essie nail color polish, mademoiselle, .46 fl oz:
Against my fair skin, the polish is a barely there pink, nude enough for work. The color works with warm or cool toned outfits. I also like to wear this color on my finger nails to balance out wild colors on my toes.
The polish is chip resistant, lasting about two days longer on my nails than most drugstore brands. Chips, when they do occur, are not obvious due to the light color.
I applied three thin coats to get a salon french manicure color. Tres chic!

Comments about essie nail color polish, mademoiselle, .46 fl oz:
I usually wear dark nail colors (browns or reds), but I was looking for a nice clean and subtle shade to wear to a job interview- this fit the bill. As with most Essie polishes, the first coat is barely there, but a few more and you get a nice frosty pink color- an American manicure effect, but with only one bottle of polish.

Comments about essie nail color polish, mademoiselle, .46 fl oz:
When a magazine review referred to Essie's Mademoiselle as a "no-color" color, I wasn't sure what it meant. Now I know. Wearing this shade is really not so different from wearing a clear nail polish. I was a bit disappointed since I prefer bolder shades. I knew light pink wasn't going to be bold, but I didn't expect it to be quite this pale.
The upside, though, is that when the polish does start to chip (which takes a while--it's a good formula), the chippiness doesn't show very obviously, so you don't need to worry about removing or touching up right away. Go ahead and purchase this shade, as long as you know what you're getting: a very subtle enhancement of your natural nails.
