You really wouldn't use this as a day balm as they tell you to. It is far too slick. Perhaps if you were staying in and not applying make up.I put it on when I wake up in the morning for the hour or two before I shower. It helps to moisturize and wake up the area around the eye.

I use this sparingly. I have oily combo skin in the summer that gets drier in the winter. I also get eczema on my face. I emulsify a small amount in my hands and then press into my skin. It gives my skin a dewy look and I don't find it greasy. It's non irritating and very soothing!

Although this is marketed as a "day" balm, I only use this at night as it is "vaseline-like" in consistency. Since I wear eye makeup and concealer, this product is too heavy for me to wear during the day as it will cause my makeup to crease. However, I am on my 2nd jar because as a night time moisturizer, nothing else I have tried provides this level of hydration. I also find it beneficial as a treatment for any skin irritation that may flare up around my eye area. I find this gentle enough to use on the lid as well as undereye area.

It certainly reduced the lines around my eyes. It created a smooth soft look around my eyes but it did not reduce any dark circles and puffiness. It feels nice and lasts a long time. I did not have to many lines around my eyes to begin with but what ones I had were very much reduced my the balm.
