Anti-Aging Exfoliating Self-Tanner with Active Vitamin D Alpha Beta® Glow Pad is the only anti-aging, exfoliating sunless tanner that contains active Vitamin D (the sun vitamin) to provide smoother, healthier skin and natural radiance year-round. Microencapsulated DHA and Soy Proteins deliver color deep into skin to prevent fading through surface exfoliation. Alpha & Beta Hydroxy Acids exfoliate, tighten pores, eliminate blackheads and help fade existing sunspots for an even, streak-free glow. Vitamin D is known for enhancing the benefits of the additional vitamins and antioxidants found in the formula. Comments about Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Glow Pad, 20 ea:
Even though this product didn't smell, dried quickly and produced a nice tan glow, I cannot recommend it because these pads are ridiculously small. I suppose if you only wanted to use it for your face, you'd be fine. I like to use it on my neck, chest and shoulders as well, and have to use 2-3 pads just for minimal coverage. You can barely even hold them to apply it. Used my box and will go back to Lancome

I would only use for the facial area, does not create an even tan on the legs or arms. Find another tanner for your body such as the one noted above @ [...]

Comments about Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Glow Pad, 20 ea:
I like this product but I agree the squares are too small. It looks natural when you use it as directed but doesn't last very long. I put it on one night and the next day I received compliments on my tan.

Comments about Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Glow Pad, 20 ea:
This product is wonderful. I however found out the hard way that if you have any brown spots on your face (melasma - normally called age spots, sun spots, etc) and you use this to try to even out your skin tone, IT WILL DARKEN THOSE SPOTS! I never knew this and just paid $300 to have laser treatments to remove the melasma (side effect of birth control pills). I have been religious about using 70-100+ SPF when I'm outside in the Florida sun and used this to try and give my face a nice boost of color. For anyone who doesn't have those problems, YOU WILL LOVE THIS!!! It is well worth the money, clears up any acne, gives a nice glow over a few days worth of use and isn't messy or smelly. For anyone else that has the occasional hyperpigmentation issues, BE CAREFUL.

Comments about Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Glow Pad, 20 ea:
I have lighter skin with pink under tones. The self tanner in this product gave my skin an orangish look. I still have several packets left, so I might try appling it with a lighter touch and see if I get better results.

Comments about Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Glow Pad, 20 ea:
I've finally found a self tanner for my face that doesn't make me break out, and gives me a natural-looking tan. I have medium tone skin, and using this 2 to 3 times a week is plenty. I wish they made something for the body, as well.

Comments about Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Glow Pad, 20 ea:
Dr. Dennis Gross, a well-know NYC dermatologist, recently launched a new product within his Alpha Beta Pad family. The Alpha Beta Glow Pads ([$] for 20) offer the same anti-aging and skin resurfacing benefits of the original Alpha Beta Pads, but the Glow pads have added sunless self-tanner. Each pad is a 3"x3" pre-moistened towelette that comes individually packaged. Unlike the original, 2 step Alpha Beta products, the Glow pads are a 1 step process. The directions simply tell you to apply to clean, dry skin in a circular motion. One pad is enough to go over your entire face, neck (don't forget behind your ears and the back of your neck if you plan to wear your hair up), and chest before drying out. Don't expect for the pad to be as moist as a wet nap; it's more like a baby wipe. It has a lightly fragranced scent that is unoffensive. You would be wasting your money to use these as body self tanner because I think I would have to use about half of the 20 applications to do my entire body.I followed the directions, using circular motions. The pad felt cool and slightly textured, offering light exfoliation. However, I have dry skin and within 30 minutes, my skin felt a little tight, probably because of the Alpha Beta treatment. I didn't put on any moisturizer because I did not want to interfere with the self-tanner developing. I did put on Tarte's Marajuca oil 3 hours later before going to bed. By that time, I could see a glow had started to develop. It was faint and looked like I had applied bronzer. It was promising. I awoke in the morning and my skin was still tight, although not at all flakey. And I was happy that my pale blue pillow cases were not stained with self tanner. When I looked in the mirror I was amazed to see how much color had developed. I am pale (wear fair shades of foundation and concealer) and my skin now looked like I had a true tan! I would say my skin went from fair to light-medium with one application. My skin has pink undertones and I was impressed that this product did not make me pinker and also was not at all orange. It really does give a brown-based tan and it looks very natural on my pale skin. One down side was that areas of my skin that are naturally pinker (namely my nose) came out darker tan. This was not due to the product being streaky, but was due to my skin tone variations. Also, I had a red spot from a recent blemish that had faded and that turned very brown, like a liver spot. I was able to cover it with concealer and applied Philosophy's Hope in a Tinted Moisturizer in my Extra Light shade on my nose to make it less tan. So it was easy to cover any shade differences and my neck and chest came out completely even in color. The other downside to this product is that it does have product that dreadful self-tanner smell after about an hour. It wasn't as strong as most self-tanning products, but it would certainly be noticeable if you were in close proximity to someone. So I don't feel that this is a product that you should use in the morning and then go to work or out on the town. I would definitely suggest doing it during a day at home or before bed so that you can shower after the color develops. The color lasted a full 48 hours before any noticeable fading and this includes 2 showers and 1 use of my Clarisonic Mia. I'm on the third day and it has faded, but I still have color and it's fading evenly so there's no issue with having tan patches. If you are already tan or have a deeper olive complexion then I don't think you are going to see much color from one application of this product. You will likely have to use "double dip" by applying a single pad two nights in a row. If you are pale to light medium in skin tone, then this product should give you a noticeable boost of color with one application, although you really need to give it 8 hours to let the color develop. While [$] for 20 pads is a pretty steep price, it's basically only [$] per application and Beauty.com frequently offers 20% off or $10 off $50 purchase which makes the price more palatable. I used my $10 in drugstore.com and beauty.com cash back dollars that I had accumulated over the last quarter to bring the price to about [$] per pad. Also, if you are on the paler side with acne-prone skin or dry skin, then you know how hard it is to find a facial self-tanner that isn't too dark, isn't too orange, won't clog your pores, and won't cause your skin to flake off. This product has actually made me a believer in facial self-tanners. And on my pale skin, I won't need to use these more frequently than every 5-6 days. I highly recommend this product!Read this review and my others at [@].
