This file is amazing. I am 30 and have had problems with my heels drying and cracking ever since my mid-20's. No matter how much scrubbing and scraping I did with my pumice stones and emery files and metal grated contraptions, they were dry within a day or two. Use this file on your heels (or any other problem spots, I had some rough spots on my little toes that magically disappeared when I use this on them) and rinse of the dust where your dry skin used to be, add some lotion, and wow. They stay soft for a significantly longer time and each time you do it they stay softer longer. Well worth the money because I had three other tools thad added up to this cost, and didn't work half as well!!! They went in the trash, of course. I'm glad I found this on drugstore.com.

I enthusiastically recommend the Diamancel numbers 1, 10, and 11, but I wasn't crazy about this #20 because it seemed flimsy. It's just the metal without the encasing rubber handle you have on the 10 or 11, and I got the impression that some vigorous sloughing might bend this file in half. If you want some serious callus removal, go with the #11 instead -- same excellent results, and that file seems made to last.

If you are looking for an *excellent* file, the Diamancel cannot be beat, imo. This #20 will literally eradicate a callus in seconds, while sparing your "good" skin. I also like the #11 for routine maintenance. These files are expensive, but they work marvelously, and I can't imagine ever having to replace them.

This file works better than the Ped Egg you see on television. I have read over some of the complaints and find them absurd. If you find that the file has stopped working, it is because it needs to be cleaned. It clearly states on the package to wash it every time. I have had mine for years and it works ever time. The item works, and its easy to use. If you have ugly cracked heels, this thing is great!

This product worked great the first time I used it and went down hill from there. I have only used it 4 times and it seems as if it is just about finished with its effectiveness. Given its hefty price tag, I do not recommend this product.

I've used the Diamancel #20 for several years and I've been recommending it to various family members who also inherited the hard-foot-calluses gene. This file reduces calluses AND doesn't leave the area rough the way a pumice stone can. You don't really need to follow it with the buffer, because your feet will already be quite smooth. My only complaint is that I wish the file were stiffer -- some flexibilty is good, but I'd like a little less.

So worth it! I also debated about the cost of this file, but now I will be saving money on pedicures! So much easier to use than the ones that require a foot soak. Buy it, you too can have sandal ready feet!

An excellent product that is actually worth the price. I have very dry heels, to the point that they cracked this past winter. I bought this file and was able to gently remove the old, tough skin on my heels to allow the moisturizer to get to where it was needed. Much more gentle than pumice. I even use it (with extreme caution!) on my legs if I get ingrown hairs from my epilator. One gentle pass and the hairs are no longer trapped by old skin. I love this product.

I debated for two full years - I kid you not - about whether to fork over the money for this tool. But with a new sandal season starting, reminding me of my status as Queen of the Calluses, I finally gave in. The Queen now bows down before the diamond file. My feet have never been so lovely or soft, and I didn't have to fire up a power tool to get there. Don't wait - your feet work hard, and they deserve it!
