After 6 weeks of use, I can't believe my eyes. My underarms are lighter, and much smoother! After just one use, my underarm irritation began to dissipate. Now, I no longer have any cyctic blemishes, or rashes under my arm. This "brightens" immediately, but, of course, it takes time to inhibit melanin production so that skin appears lighter. However, it, definitely has lightened the dark discoloration in my underarm skin! My underarms don't look dirty or unshaved. Honestly, I never thought they could look this way, and I hadn't realized how much this skin bothered me until I noticed how relieved I am that it looks so much better. Realistically, I thought it would take 6 months to show any effect, and I did not expect a huge difference anyways. It's been only 6 weeks, so I'm thrilled. Maybe they'll lighten even more... Not only is this a gentle, fragrance-free brightener, it's a superior antiperspirant. It keeps me as dry and crisp as Fresh Sugar, but Total Nonscents has a gentler active antiperspriant.. There must be something about "sugar" that works for my perspiration, because Total Nonscents, like Fresh Sugar, contains sugar ( sorbital in Total Nonscents). The melanin inhibitor in Total Nonscents is Kojic Dipalmitate, which is often used for melasma in dermatological skin care. Even if you don't need to brighten your underarms, this may be worth trying just for its antiperspirant/deodorant qualities. It's terriffic!

Sorry ladies, this does work as promised. The only way to get rid of dark underarms is waxing. This is very pricy and I have been using this goo over a month and have yet to notice any lightening of the skin. Also, the antiperspirant could work better - Secret will keep you dryer. I am very disappointed and will not buy again.

I'm of Asian descent and have suffered from dark pigmentation in the underarm area. So much so that I have never worn anything sleeveless and so envy women that can. I've tried other skin lightening/deodorant products but found this to be the best for me. (Although if you brush it against clothing while still wet it will leave a white stain (washable)).
You can see the results in weeks of use! I understand that the product will lighten but only as directed and so I've just ordered my second supply and looking forward to reaching my desired skin tone.

I have fair skin, and from years of shaving, my underarms started becoming shaded and splotchy. Not very attractive! Honestly, I didn't expect this product to work as well as it has. After about a month of daily use, I noticed a marked improvement. After 3 months, my skin tone 'under there' matches the skin tone on my arms. I'm no longer embarassed to wear sleeveless tops! Plus, it provides great protection from wetness and odor. There's no scent to compete with lotions or perfumes. It does NOT burn or tingle even a little bit. Yes, it's expensive, but it's the only product of its kind that I've found that delivers on its promises. One bottle lasts about a month, using daily. I'm very happy I gave this a try and have re-bought it many times.

I bought this product after randomly running across it. I had always noticed the issue in other woman when I was younger and always thought I never wanted that to be me. I am 21 years old and noticed my discoloration several months prior to my purchase. I LOVE it. It really worked for me and I will be buying it again before tank top and bikini season so that I can go out with ease. The price is a bit expensive but other than that being my only drawback it is worth it and it does deliver.

I had never thought about underarm discoloration before, but now that I am using this product I can see and feel a huge difference. Absolutely NO white deodorant marks, and I stay dry for literally 2 days! Underarms feel soft and natural not dry/rough like other strong deodorant/anti-perspirants. Without a doubt the best anti-perspirant out there. Worth 100% of the cost!!!

Does everything its supposed to do--lighten underarm discoloration (mine was moderate) and prevent odor and wetness. I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin and had no reaction to this product, and unlike some of the other reviews here, noticed a lightening of the underarm skin after using it daily for about 2 weeks. Wish it wasn't so expensive, because I LOVE it!

This product deserves 5 stars because it works! I have really embarassing underarm discoloration from prior allergic reactions to strong deodorants. While I can't say my armpits are now as white and smooth as those of a newborn babe, I can still honestly say I notice a big improvement. It will take a while though---as in a LONG while but it's the best thing in the market now because as it SLOWLY whitens, it also keeps one dry and odor free.

I've been using this product for about 4 wks now. While I haven't seen any remarkable skin lightening yet, the deodorant itself works really well. It's really effective with odor; I've never had an "unsure" day! But it does leave some irritation after shaving; minor itching. I do hope that it will work for lightening the underarm skin, so that I, too, may have a success story!

I have always been very self-conscious about my underarm discoloration. Plus, I have very sensitive skin. I thought I would try this as I saw it written up in a magazine. Lo and behold, I'm glad I did! It is an ingenious product as it is the best antiperspirant on the market today, and at the same time I have noticed an improvement in my discoloration. It takes awhile to lighten the skin, but it definitely works. The bottle also lasts forever. Now I can wear sleeveless tops and even go to the beach and feel more comfortable. Thank you for carrying this product.

I have very sensitive underarms along with some discoloration, and this product worked wonderfully. Takes a while to see results depending on amount discloration, but after 3 months the discoloration is gone. Much more gentle than other antiperspirants on the market. However, I found that if I applied too much product, some sensitivity would develop. Pricey, but the 3 oz bottle lasts a very long time.
