Comments about Deborah Lippmann Nail Color, Prelude to a Kiss, .5 fl oz:
This is a beautiful color for a clean and professional manicure/pedicure or to wear out to a special event. It's unobtrusive enough to wear to work and match everything, but still romantic enough for a date. It lasts beautifully, even if you work with your hands a lot (I'm a seamstress). I was reluctant because of the price tag at first, but it's worth every penny!

I had this on for about two weeks now..and still looks like it's been just applied on.it's a beautiful classy shade....initially, i was hesitant about paying so much for a bottle of nail polish..after trying it at nordstroms, i decided to get it on drugstore.com where i could earn drugstore dollars..you won't regret on this one!

Comments about Deborah Lippmann Nail Color, Prelude to a Kiss, .5 fl oz:
I used to be a die-hard Essie nail polish fan (especially for Ballet Slippers and Madamoiselle shades), but I've converted to this polish. It lasts longer and has a smoother, shinier finish that makes it easy to replicate a salon manicure at home. The color is an absolutely perfect pink-white sheer that looks very professional for work. I think it's worth the few more dollars than Essie, since it's formaldehyde and toluene free.

Comments about Deborah Lippmann Nail Color, Prelude to a Kiss, .5 fl oz:
I was very careful to have clean dry nails and used the rehydrating base coat, two coats of polish and the high gloss topcoat. Within 2-3 days my manicure was beginning to peel and look shabby. I hate using polish remover too often so now my nails are bare. I had such high hopes for this brand and will try again. Very expensive to put together the entire manicure process compared to something like Sally Hansen with which I never have a problem like this.

J's review is dead on. My skin tone is medium and I prefer one coat. I was hoping the color was close to OPI's Bubble Bath, and it is.

Comments about Deborah Lippmann Nail Color, Prelude to a Kiss, .5 fl oz:
This is a very useful color to have in your collection of nail polish. It is classic and goes with everything, whether you're going to the office or going to a wedding. I have pale skin with yellow undertones, and I found that two coats gives me a whitish pink--good for when I want that opaque, clean-nail look. If you have darker skin and going for a natural pink color, this may be too white. One coat gives you a translucent, light pink that just makes your natural nails look subtly more polished.

Comments about Deborah Lippmann Nail Color, Prelude to a Kiss, .5 fl oz:
I LOVE this polish - it really is the best ever. I have used many - Nars, Chanel, Rescue Beauty Lounge, Sally Hansen, Essie, Opi and I am now a devoted fan to Lippmann. The polish goes on smoothly and evenly over a basecoat (I use Barelle Ridge Filler, which does a great job) and finishes with a great shine as if I had used a topcoat, but I don't. With just one basecoat and one layer of polish, my nails look perfect for a week. In fact, I get disappointed because I want to change the color but don't want to waste the polish when it still looks good! I have not experienced any peeling or chipping whatsoever and really could not be more pleased with the color, consistency, application and finish. Highly recommend! Also, this color is a very pretty milky pink that really enhances natural nail color.
