Comments about DDF Amplifying Elixir, 1.7 oz:
I received a sample of this and tried it without much idea of what it was supposed to do. I used it at night after washing my face and applied it to my face, neck, and chest and followed with a light night cream (Neutrogena) per the instructions. The next morning, several acne scars and dry/rough patches on my skin were noticeably smoother and less visible. However, the skin on my neck and chest was red and irritated, like a sunburn. My face was also a little red after my morning shower, but the face redness subsided. I tried again the next night with the same results. Since then, I have just been using it as a spot treatment at night for acne scars and rough spots. It is not causing any weird redness when I use it like this, but I still get the good results--and those results are really good. I will definitely buy a full-size version when I have used up the sample (and using it as a spot treatment means it will last a long time).
The instructions say to use it am and pm, but I would not use it in the morning. I was not bothered by the smell--it went away quickly and was not more chemical than many products.

Comments about DDF Amplifying Elixir, 1.7 oz:
This is an incredibly efficacious treatment. It does exactly what it claims to do. DDF's Amplifying Elixir promotes the absorption of other treatments as well as making them more effective. It increases my skins hydration as well as its clarity and texture. Be wary that it does cause light sensitivity (which can cause a burning sensation), so this shouldn't be used during the day without sunscreen. There is a smell to this, but it didn't bother me in the least. I noticed an improvement in my skin immediately after using this. Highly recommended! ◕‿◕

Comments about DDF Amplifying Elixir, 1.7 oz:
This product does exactly what it says it does. It is an amplifying serum. It boosts the efficacy of other products you use. It has a high concentration of niacin which in of itself has many skin benefits when used topically (treatment of acne, anti-aging...the studies proving this are not hard to find online) but it is especially effective when used with retinol. In fact, Allure magazine mentions it this month (July 2012). I used it in combination with a retinoid and was shocked at how quickly it made an impact. My husband and several co-workers mentioned how great my skin looked. After two weeks, my fine lines had dramatically diminished. I have extremely sensitive skin but this product did not irritate my skin although I have read that some people do not tolerate niacin as well. It does not smell great. It smells a little bad but the scent dissipates quickly and I would prefer that to added perfumes that could irritate my skin. If you are serious about your skin, I highly recommend it.

Comments about DDF Amplifying Elixir, 1.7 oz:
This product is sub par. There are others out there that are much better/less harsh options (example caudelie, Elizabeth Arden ampules). This product is a clear liquid-like formula that smells exactly like a tanning salon/tanning lotion. It has a noticeable chemical background smell and feel to it and not surprisingly it absorbed quickly, dried my skin and gave me a burning sensation. Not for me.

Comments about DDF Amplifying Elixir, 1.7 oz:
I'm like a previous poster. I also received this as a sample and was really excited to try it. When I put it on my face, the smell was HORRIBLE. To me, it smells like burnt rubber. It also made my skin red after I applied it, not really sure if it's exfoliating or what. No burning though. I applied it at night, so by the morning, the redness was gone. My skin did feel really moisturized when I put my make up on the next morning, but I'm not going to use it again. The smell ruins the product.

Comments about DDF Amplifying Elixir, 1.7 oz:
I got a pretty good sized sample of this with an order I placed. While it does seem to work well (I put it on at night before my face cream and in the morning my skin is really soft), I can't get past the smell. It's like you're spreading rancid onions and garlic on your skin... and heaven forbid you accidentally breath in while you're applying it around your mouth and nose area! I told myself I was going to use the whole tube and try to get use to the smell. I'm just about finished with the tube and this morning a little got on my lip and I actually started gagging. It's really bad. If they'd take care of that problem, I'd gladly pay the high price for it. But I can't even finish off a free sample the way it is now.

I put this on, went on smooth, but within a minute my skin felt like it was burning and I look like I have a sunburn. Washed my face twice and it is still burning. This is going in the trash
