I bought this product after reading the reviews, but I am very disappointed with the product. I only got the serum and it doesn't work for me. I have to use blotting paper after ~2hours, which was the case without using the serum. Would it make it effective if I use the fluid with the serum? I'm not too sure.

I agree with the other reviewer. I have tried countless product in my attempt to combat my oil (I have super oily skin) and they ALL disappointed until this product and the Skin Mat Fluid. I used to have blot within several hours of washing my face/applying makeup and now I can easily go into the afternoon and sometimes all day without blotting. Because I am less oily my pores aren't as clogged/noticeable. I only use this in the morning because it is so expensive, but I bet if you used both of the products day and night it would be even better. I love Darphin in general but if I had to choose just 2 products to purchase again and again it would be the Matt serum and fluid. That being said, I haven't tried the serum separately so I don't know it might be less effective without the fluid. I do use the fluid separately at night and I love it and it does keep my skin from getting as oily while I sleep. PURCHASE THESE IF YOU HAVE OILY SKIN you will be so happy.

There are times when Darphin's insistence on serums penetrating the deeper layers of the epidermis seems like hype, but then I run out this serum and I become their loudest advocate. It just works well, and Darphin's SKIN MAT Fluid is even better with it. I have never been convinced that any serum and/or moisturizer will eliminate oiliness all-day (get yourself some blotting papers or an oil-absorbing cream for that late afternoon oiliness), but this serum keeps it well under control and has dramatically decreased the overall oiliness of my skin.
