Buy the refill, save money. I really can't tell if any powder is coming out of the brush. I bought the refill in addition to the brush with the power. I would only buy the refill again, put the powder in a container and brush the amount you want onto your face. I recommend the powder,not the brush.

Got this from an aesthetician when I complained that I'm sensitive to almost every sunscreen. This stuff is truly great -- actually improved my complexion, works well even gardening in hot sun, and coverage is sheer but enough that I can wear it instead of any other makeup, with just a bit of blush, for casual day wear. The powder goes a very long way so the up-front cost isn't that bad - I've been using it almost daily for 4 months and still a good amount remains.
I am going to try more of their products -- this one really convinced me!
