Black Knight: A dark dazzler from butter London, this glitter fusion contains black, pink, blue, and silver suspended in a black base. The Black Knight is a beloved Monty Python character from The Holy Grail.

butter LONDON is a 3 Free Company

What is 3 free?
Most major nail companies use toxic chemicals in their products.  Why? Because they are cheap and unmonitored by the Food and Drug Administration.  They are also extremely hazardous to humans, causing cancer, birth defects, neurological damage, and a host of other serious illnesses.

butter LONDON products contain NO Formaldehyde, NO Toluene, and NO DBP (Dibutyl Phthalate).

Comments about butter LONDON Nail Lacquer, The Black Knight, .4 fl oz:

The Black Knight is the first Butter London product I have tried. I love this color! It absolutely is more purple than black on the nails, but it's rich and beautiful. Perhaps using one to two coats of a black varnish, and then putting one layer of The Black Knight over the black would give it a more ebony/dark hue. I always go onto Google images to see what a nail polish looks like in multiple pictures before purchasing it. It's not unusual for real life pics of a polish to show it as an entirely different color than the tiny swatch on a website. Always run Google images to check out a polish before buying it! This polish is very thick and difficult to spread smoothly and evenly over the nail -- this is one thing I do not like about this product. I do not personally find the applicator brush problematic. It is a bit thin. I like the texture of The Black Knight -- it's similar to those new sand-like polishes that are popular right now. I think this is going to be a love/hate thing -- people are either going to love the texture or they're going to loathe it. I don't know if a professional woman could quite get away with The Black Knight at the office. Yes, it's a lovely shade of purple, but it's quite sparkly. The Dark Knight is a great polish for celebrations, a night out on the town, or clubbing. I would recommend The Black Knight as a polish.

Comments about butter LONDON Nail Lacquer, The Black Knight, .4 fl oz:

The color is purple glitter, not as described on beauty.com. What I do like is that Butter London's glitter polishes have smaller, finer glitter particles and go on smoother and flatter. I use it over a solid opaque dark black polish, and then use a clear top coat.

Comments about butter LONDON Nail Lacquer, The Black Knight, .4 fl oz:

Absolutely love this shade, you can apply one single coat, or multiple coats. Trouble is, it doesn't last even after I applied a top coat. Also the brush isn't exactly the best, rather chunky. It's best if you want to wear it for the night out, not for the entire week if you're going to be doing the dishes etc!

Comments about butter LONDON Nail Lacquer, The Black Knight, .4 fl oz:

Maybe I am not applying it correctly, but I don't think that it is very glossy. When dry, the glitter tends to catch on everything. I used a top coat and it still didn't really give the depth that I was looking for. I'm going to keep it around and try playing with some other colors...but I was more impressed with Deb Lippman's glitters.
