I really, really wanted to like this polish: as both an Anglophile and an environmentalist, I was thrilled to find a chemical-free polish from London. The first time I used it, though, I was quite disappointed. The wide cap design makes it hard to get the right grip and balance when applying polish, and it even makes it hard to get the cap on straight. When I ordered, I had assumed that the rectangular cap would come off to reveal a more easily held round one beneath (like the design of Chanel polish bottles) but it doesn't. Application was needlessly messy, but once the polish was on I was quite pleased with the color. But within a few days, the polish had already started to chip off -- the Chanel and Lippman polishes I usually use last at least two weeks without a single chip. I wish I could use Butter, and if it were cheaper these defects would be understandable, but at a price close to the premium brands, Butter is not worth the money.
