I have known about Boots for years since my mom is british. I only recently came to my senses though and stopped purchasing facial care products that are stupidly expensive. My Mom had been telling me for years that I was wasting my money when there are perfectly wonderful products at your local store. Boots No 7 is one of the wonderful products that really does work. I have now switched all my skincare to Oil of Olay and Boots. I prefer the Boots No 7 serum and the toners and cleansers are all wonderful. This serum made my skin soft and smoothed out the fine lines. I have also noticed that my freckles and redness are beginning to go away. I feel with continued use over time, this product is a real winner. Thanks Mom! I wish I had listened to you years ago! My advice to you: quit wasting your money on expensive beauty products that are no better than their drugstore counterparts. I would highly recommend the entire Boots No 7 line -- becasue it really works and it is so budget friendly. Be smart!

What I love about this product is that it feels good on and does not leave a shiny appearance. My skin is in good shape so as far as seeing an improvement, I can't, as long as it maintains my skin I will be thrilled. I use it for my day and night moistriser.

I was so interested in this product from the excellent reviews and low price, and I have used and enjoyed many Boots products in the past. I began using this product every day, and within a week developed two very deep, very painful pimple-like things on my forehead. They were similar to the cystic acne that I got as a teenager, but I haven't had anything like it for 15 years! They never came to a head, just were swollen and painful for several days. I discontinued use for a month or so, but then decided maybe it was a fluke that had nothing to do with the product. I used it two times with no adverse affects and then the third time, developed the same painful bump, what I think is a clogged pore, on my cheek this time. I read another review mentioning that since this product contains silicone, it can clog pores. Anyway, I don't particularly sit around examining my skin in the mirror, but I honestly don't notice any improvements really at all, and to me it's not worth the risk of these painful pimples.

I have used this product for about 1 yr. & would panic if I ran out. My skin is smoother & less wrinkled. No side effects. It is budget wise. Absorbs quickly with no greasy feel. I am in my mid 70's & love it when people say I don't look a day over 60.

This serum is not bad for improving overall skin tone and texture. It is not my favorite, however, because it does feel like a layer on top of the skin- it is a little greasy for me. I have dry skin and like to heavily and frequently moisturize, but this product does not absorb quite to my liking. Because it fills and partially sits on top of the skin it would be good for the kind of person who is comfortable wearing a makeup-base type of product. It does improve skin some, but it works partially in a cosmetic capacity as well, by sitting on the skin, filling lines, and reflecting light. It may work very well for some people.

I read so many good comments on the Boots line that I had to give it a try. Boy am I glad I did. I have been using it for a little over a week now and have noticed an improvement of my skin, the texture is better and tighter and the pores appear much smaller than they were. I will definitely and have ordered more of the Boots line.
