The shade is not consistent with the Bare Minerals "loose" powder products. I ordered the same color I use in the regular foundation, and it is nowhere near close. It is light and off-tone. Unfortunately, I can only use this as a concealer. I wish I could return it.

I have been a BE customer for years but when I travel it's always a hassle so I decided to try this. I was pretty reluctant. I also bought the companion brush. I am pleasantly surprised - it goes on easy, gives good coverage, and lasted throughout the day. The only downside is that you must apply in good light and take care to apply evenly. My stepdaughter stated that I looked a bit powdery. Other than that it was very convenient. I am still practicing my application but for travel it can't be beat. I also bought a kit that includes a Ready blush and bronzer but I didn't like those. I prefer the loose powders. If you are an existing BE user be aware that you will need to go into a boutique to be color matched. I wear Golden Medium in the loose foundation but in this I am medium beige, which in the loose powder has always been way too taupe/pink for my olive complexion.

I wear Medium Tan in the loose powder so I purchased the same in the compact powder. It looks like 2 shades too light. Not flattering. Going back to loose powder.

I was so excited they came out with a "pressed powder". The loose can sometimes be a bit messy. I have used Bare Minerals for at least 8 years religiously and love it. This not so much. I felt like it was to cakey (even using the softer brush). It clung to dry spots on my face and didn't cover others. Not impressed...the color is even different. I used Medium Beige and this I ordered the same and looked like a ghost. So I will be going back to the loose powder. So disappointed. :(

This was a bust for me, I have used their mineral foundation for almost as long as they have been in business and never wore face makeup before that. I love the original formula but this was not easily applied nor did it look smooth and did not leave me with a look that is pleasing.
