It is true that this product runs lighter than its sister product, the Bare Minerals original foundation. However, the product itself is superior. The previous commenter obviously had issues with her product but that's not the case for me.
First and foremost I think it's essential to use the brush created for this foundation. Secondly, the application technique is different. You do NOT swirl, tap and buff. You merely tap and buff to apply this product. Not only do you simply tap and buff, but you barely need to tap for medium coverage. You absolutely can achieve full coverage with a firmer tap.
The tricky part (if you can even call it that) will be determining your new shade if you've previously used Bare Minerals. According to everything I've read or seen, you only need to go one shade darker in your color range. For example, I originally chose the medium shade (because I'm a cool) and with this product I could go with medium tan.
