Tip #1: New Formula. Get shade matched. bareMinerals READY Foundation shades differ from Original and Matte foundation and may appear lighter on your skin.  To find your best shade we recommend visiting a store to get shade matched or use our shade matching chart.

Tip #2:  As a general guide try going 1-2 shade families up from your typical Original or Matte foundation shade.  For example:  Fairly Light users may consider Fairly Medium or Medium Beige. Medium Beige users may consider Medium Tan or Golden Tan.

Tip #3: For full coverage, use the Precision Face brush. Tap your brush very lightly onto the foundation. Buff gently onto skin with long, graceful strokes. A little goes a long way.  For medium coverage, use the Flawless Application brush. Tap your brush very lightly onto the foundation.  Buff gently onto skin in a circular motion. A little goes a long way.

Comments about bareMinerals READY Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20, Fairly Light, .49 oz:

I realize it's hard to put a color on-line, but I should have known better by going to a store and testing it first! I'm very fair (with pink undertones), and thought this would work - it didn't - way too yellow! I used "medium" before, it was great but too dark - and tried this color. It didn't work out. Next time I'll order "Fair!"

Comments about bareMinerals READY Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20, Fairly Light, .49 oz:

When I looked at this product, I only found 2 reviews - 1 excellent and 1 more critical.

I found the advice in the excellent review to be very useful and followed it.

I bought a shade darker than I normally would and bought the Ready Precision Brush.

When I opened the compact, I did panic thinking the shade was too dark. I also didn't apply it right and it looked like cake makeup. But as I spread it around more carefully with the new brush, it spread and blended beautifully.

The coverage of my rosacea is much better than the original foundation. The big difference is this: With the original foundation, you really had to moisturize and apply right away. But with this formula, you shouldn't (I have done that and got uneven and cakey coverage.) I have had to change the routine a bit to accommodate the time for my moisturizer to dry, but I love that I don't have to moisturize for touch-ups!

Applying this with the new brush is like applying a creamy, luxurious makeup but without the lines or time to blend. And it doesn't make my skin breakout because of my undisciplined night-time routine of not always washing my face before bed!

Comments about bareMinerals READY Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20, Fairly Light, .49 oz:

It was my first time using this product and I liked it a lot. Have used BareMinerals previously and like that it doesn't cause breakouts and actually does seem to benefit my skin as well as providing full coverage. Also, it is less messy than the other BareMinerals foundation and you don't have leftover make up stuck in the container like you do with the other foundation.

I've used Bare Minerals for at least ten years and didn't think it could get any better, but it has with this product. It applies in a flash and gives excellent coverage.
