I bought this color because I love darker lips but I have to say that it is very hard to put on evenly and it so dry that it goes beyond matte of any kind. It also has a funny smell and I just dont wear it as much as I would like. I am a huge fan of all of the makeup BE has and this is the only lip color that has let me down. If I could get the same color in a much more softer, and easier way to apply it to my lips I would and not to mention the smell.

I looked up the truffle color on this site, other beauty product sites, and the Bare Minerals site itself. While there was a slight difference between each, from the pictures & description "a rose brown"I thought I had a good idea what I was getting- a nice neutral. This color is not. It's like a deep pink on; looks brick red in the tube. Also not nearly as sheer as I'd expected the application to be, even over lip moisturizer. It feels good, applies smoothly (provided your lips are in smooth shape) & lasts pretty well. It won't look just-applied for too long, depending on how much you eat, drink, talk, etc., but the underlying color will last all day. It has a nice almost matte finish- not enough to look chalky or powdered but not shiny either. My lips are pretty well-defined naturally but I could see how this might feather if you tend ot have that problem b/c the lines don't stay perfectly. I kept it despite the huge difference between the color I wanted (& still search for-something pretty, pinky-beigey-brownish that will not look ugly but will help cut down the natural dark bright pink of my lips) & what this is. Very close to Cargo Plantlove Sagarmartha, which I also have tried, & on me looks like crazy fuschia. Pretty, if you're after a bolder color. My feelings are so mixed, don't know if I'd ever try another shade, but it's not bad at all.
