Comments about bareMinerals Liner Shadow Liner, Soft Black, .01 oz:
This product was very effective and versitle if you could get it on without black dust going everywhere. It was too hard to control the amount you get out. I have a special "liner" brush that I would even dampen to use. Even the smallest amount of this product puts a nice line on your lid. However trying to keep the dust from falling all over your eye even with a wet brush was almost impossible. Also the packaging doesnt keep huge amounts of black powder from spilling everywhere if you forget to put the lid on tight. Bottom line is not matter how careful I tried to be I would typically end up with bits of black powder on my counter, face, and fingers. Sometimes if I didnt see the fine powder on my dark counter I would get it on other things including my clothes. Just needs better packaging and application I think. Too much hassle for my lifestyle. I moved on to a different product.

Comments about bareMinerals Liner Shadow Liner, Soft Black, .01 oz:
You can use this for softer look by applying it dry/ powdery. Or, you can add a tiny bit of water to it and use a small brush to use it like liquid eye-liner. Needs very little water to do that. Also, the amount of water controls the intensity of the pigment. I really like its versatility. Overall very nice product. Does not sting eyes at ALL, which is a plus.

Comments about bareMinerals Liner Shadow Liner, Soft Black, .01 oz:
I wear eyeliner every single day, and I really love it. This stuff is the ultimate eyeliner. Since I mastered application, I can't say enough good things about this eyeliner, which I've used for 5 years. Once it's applied, even dry, it doesn't smudge, flake, run, or streak. It never even leaves lines on my eyelids! When I first tried this, I thought it was so darn messy I almost gave up on it. It sounds silly, but I made a point to watch Leslie Blodgett on QVC to see how to apply the stuff (yes, I'm that bad with makeup). Her instructions gave me the tip I needed. It sounds kinda "duh", but what I didn't know was that I have to tap my brush off, a LOT, before dabbing this onto my eyes. I wasn't "tapping" enough, and, I was dragging it across my eyes, like liquid eyeliner (it works fine this way wet, but not dry). After application I was trying everything from washing my face after putting on eyeliner, to holding kleenex under my eyes to catch the dust. I hadn't realized just how litle of this eyeliner goes such a long long way, and it hadn't occurred to me to push the liner on, not drag it. A tiny amount on the brush, gently patted on my eyes, gives a beautifully defined, neat line. At age 43, the powder liner is a special bonus, because it doesn't ever catch in my newly formed eye grooves, (ahem, wrinkles). I always get straight, clean lines. This liner is unique because you can control exactly how much intensity you want. If you want a very light line, or a cat-eye look, it's all possible with this powder. Coffee Bean is my everyday liner, and the jar lasts for at least a year (I'm not kidding). The colors in this line are so gorgeous I cannot resist having several colors, and they all look amazing with the mineral shadows. As long as you're careful when you open this stuff, it really doesn't make any more of a mess than pressed powders. But like all the mineral makeup vs. classic makeup, you need to apply way, way less than you expect.

Comments about bareMinerals Liner Shadow Liner, Soft Black, .01 oz:
This powder eyeliner is great but you must buy the brush with the flat and pointed end. I use the flat brush held straight up and make my line with the narrow brush. I found this out by going to a Bare Essentials store for my starter kit. This is the only way I have ever been able to apply eyeliner without looking "Goth."
